Getting tails docked and dewclaws done - YorkieTalk.com Forums

My baby Zoey just had 4 babies, 3 boys and 1 girl, and we go this morning to have the tails and dewclaws done. After reading alot of information I am really scared to have them done now. I'm going to a great vet but that still doesn't make me feel better. I'm worried about the pain and then the bleeding, I guess I'm just being a Mom with all of this worrying. I'm shaking and my heart is racing and I know I'm probably making more of this than I need to.

It is a very safe procedure, I had my pups done last Wednesday. Obviously it is not totally painless, but my pups squeaked once and it is over. When it is done, it's done and they settle right down and go back to sleep. Don't worry!!
