There are parts of this story that don't 'seem' to add up but giving the OP the benefit of the doubt I hope that the dogknappers are caught and the dog returned to the owner. I know how heart sick I'd be. Also, we have seen people post false stories before so if you do see a post stating this doesn't sound true. Try to realize we that have been around a while have been sucked into untrue stories before. We pray your baby returns to you unharmed. |

Thank you Shelia. I will. I have emailed that pet detective lady and sent a link to this thread so she can see the details. Waiting for a response. |

These people are horrible, they don't stop to even consider how Benjamin feels. Sheila |
My mother in law's boyfriend has a yorkie she's 8 now. when she was 2 she was stolen out of his car ( don't even get me started on THAT) any ways he posted reward signs all over the area she was taken and about 3 days later he got her back. He's sure he paid the reward to the ones that stole her in the first place even though they said they found her. He didn't care. He was just happy to get his precious Dolly back. I hope the reward with your bf works today. |
what benefit would i be getting from making this up. i wish it was made up. and your right, it doesnt seem to add up. Ive thought that from the beginning myself. but if anyone is lying it's that guy who said he seen him get taken. I believe he's the the one who actually took him. Then maybe he sold, gave whatever to someone in that park and thought he could get him back which is why i got the run around from him. And then found out he couldn't.. I wish I was lying through my teeth and had nothing better to do than post a made up story on yorkietalk...... i dont know what else to say about that. I hate reading that. Ill just let everyone know if he comes home. Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. |

Please just ignore the ignorant comments people make. Like my mother always said, when I was young: "Consider the source". Focus your energy on praying for the return of little Benjamin. Sheila |
Christine, Please try to ignore thoughtless and hurtful comments. And to the people that post them, please have some respect :( geezzzz.... We are all praying for his safe return. :) I want to add that I live in the nice neighborhood, however you drive less than 5 mins (yup, seriously only 5 mins.) north and you are smack in the drug dealing, dog fighting, gang and weapon getto - no joke. As a matter of fact, the main road from the highway I have to take to get down into my nice area (5 mins drive), they have had 3 shootings in the past year alone and God only knows what else  - so while this story may seem odd to some folks, I for one totally believe it to be true, cause I could see it happening here. Christine, we are here to support you, I know you are sad, so please don't stay away :( |
Christinee- I just said another prayer that your little one is returned to you and that he is watched over and protected until that happens. |

Well my boyfriend isn't going to the TP - that's the bad news. Now the good news. The pet detective lady got in contact with me!! First she responded to my email, then called me and we talked for a good 15 - 20 minutes. She really thinks she can help me. She gave me the name of a website to go to for now that she said would really help to get me moviing in the right direction. Then I am to call her and well do a consultation. She said based on the facts I told her, the blood hounds probably aren't my best option. She said they follow scents on animals trails. I asked if I could give her a piece of his clothing and him sniff the TP of Benjamin, she said it doesn't work that way. Anyway, she was nice enough to talk with me and give me enough information to get me in the right direction for free. How generous of her to call me in person and talk with me like that. She seems to be a very busy lady. Anyway. She says that based on the fact that he had no tag and no one (as in me or my daughter) seen him get taken, this may actually be a rescue. Although the TP still may be true and he may be there. Maybe this guy was a scammer all the way. Doesn't make sense why, because he went all out seeming to want to help. Never tried anything funny like snatch money from me or anything inappropiate. But I always thought it was all a little too coincidental how he said he seen the dog picked up, then he just happens to know where the guys live. Its not like the TP is a few blocks over. I mean its close but not that close. Just for the record. I have never let my dog wander off. If i were here with just me and him this would not have happened. He is not allowed to go out that front door without someone and on a leash. My daughter carelessly let him out and the first time my roommates let him out and I wasn't even here. There are going to be major changes around here. This isn't going to happen again. Anyway. i'll keep posting any progress. Thanks so much for all the prayers and thoughtful wishes. That detective said that yorkies are easy to find when you take the right steps. Just keep praying 4 my Benjamin. More than him making it home I just hope he's comfortable and being loved and not to scared and depressed. I hope he's ok. If I knew he was I'd be much more at ease. He came a long way since I found him. He was so depressed and unhealthy. Now he is full of energy and just awesome. Very happy little guy. And he wants to show me he's tuff all the time by doing things like attacking our huge cat who could take him out if he wanted. Ha ha ha! The cat just ignores him cause he knows ill get him if he beats him up. It's funny cause Benjamin will snarl and bark like a crazy man.... And it's always right when he knows I see him.. Like he's showing me how tuff he is. It's so funny. I just hope if he makes it home he still has that spirit. (i hate saying if) I know he must be so depressed right now. No matter where he is. There's no one who could take my place. I really do believe that. |
Thank you Rhetts mama. I really do appreciate it more than words can say. Thanks to all of you!! Again and again. :animal-pa |
BTw.... during my phone call with the pet dective lady she said in my case the police would not be a good idea and would probably make things worse. to bad i already did. just thought i'd throw that out there for all the people judging cause i didnt want to get them involved. Exactly what i thought is true. Cops make people nervous. Nervous people do things to make sure they dont get caught, like get rid of the stolen property. |

Nevermind, I re-read your first post and it doesn't say your daughter saw that. I'm sorry about that! |
you guys probably have this image that I live in a crazy gang infested ghetto. and i'm poor as dirt and live in a shack. i wouldnt blame you based on this thread. I just thought I'd mention that although there are nicer areas in the world, my area is not that bad. but it's not to hard to find real bad areas if you drive just a little. I use to have a really good job and made good money, til like many others, I got laid off and now I'm in college again. Which is why i'm so broke. haha.... But i did just start working again and really like it. So hopefully things are going to get easier and I wont be on such a tight rope. And I live in a nice big house with a big driveway and with a very secure gated backyard. I am in the back portion of the house with my very big room, walk in closet and own bathroom. I even have a car!! :D Just clarifying for anyone who was wondering about my situation. ;) |
