Do most of your Yorkies just wear clothes for pictures or is it all the time? I am not much for dog clothing but I have taken pictures of my chihuahua's in costumes. Do most of you use them all the time or just for pictures? |
Mine wear clothes all the time in the colder months but only for pics during the warmer....Mine like them....??? |
Mostly for pics, in the colder months we do sweaters, but most of the time mine are naked!:eek: |
Bridgets my first yorkie baby, so I'm pretty new at this...in the winter she had a quilted vest and sweater, and I just bought her first dress (I don't think I'm done). If it's cold out I will put the sweater on, but the dress I think will be more for special outings or if the mood strikes....but not always....I do get some "static" from some people though....they think it's cruel...oh well, you know what they say about opinions!!! LOL |

Cute things like dresses and stuff they only wear for pictures... things like PJ's, sweaters, and coats that are necessary they will wear more often in the colder months... they will wear PJ's or sweaters around the house if it is very cold and will wear jackets and sweaters the whole time we are out. I wish they could wear clothes more but with their longer coats they get matted very quickly with the clothes on. |
Mine wear them for the daily walks, pictures, and holidays. They don't wear clothes inside except if it gets chilly in the winter - then I have put t-shirts on them and a coat for outside. |
For Holidays, special occasions, and when it is cold outside. The Yorkie, not the big dog. |
My three have sweaters and coats when it's cold. I did put them in dresses for Easter, but usually, mine like to run around naked too. :) |
You could perserve meat in my home.....due to the number of Birthday's I have accumulated, everyday is a tropical vacation. My "Little Bitty Pretty One" sleeps in a nightie every single night. My grown children torture me about it. Ask me if I care!!!!!! |

Bailey wears clothing in the winter months when we go out because we have terribly cold fall/winters, but inside I usually take them off him for the most part because my place is very warm. |
Well now Jasper will not wear clothes, he gets all spazzy and just stands still and will not move. Cookie is a tomboy and only wears them for pics and cold outside walks. Emma wears clothes all the time because she is under 2 pounds full grown and cannot maintain her body heat so she wears a sweater. I do change it to a tshirt when she it is warmer out. Clothes are terrible if you keep them in long coats though so my furkids keep puppy cuts so they can play dress up...:D |
Well, mine goes to work with me everyday, so she usually wears clothes everyday and if we're going somewhere or out for walks when it's cold. I take them off at noon when we go home so she can go outside and play a bit & potty. Then we do a quick brushing and I hold her outfit and she comes running to put it back on before we go back to work.:D What a routine!:rolleyes: |
Chloe only wears clothes for a few pictures and a couple of times on the really cold days during winter. She will tolerate clothes, but I can definitely tell that she prefers her birthday suit!! -C |

Mine love their clothes! It's a daily ritual to get brushed, get dressed and get hair done! Then at night they get brushed out again (Paris especially with her cottony hair) and they are naked at night! So fun to dress them up and they love it too! |
Pixie wears clothes most of the time especially in the cooler weather. I just love dressing her up! |
I have one or two that wear sweaters in the winter if it's really cold outside and my hubby won't turn up the heat LOL...otherwise no they don't wear clothes...just not into all that fru fru lol |
clothes during the winter my little guy wears t-shirts inside & pj's to bed & a coat when we go outside. other times he is naked, but when it is raining & he has to go out I have a raincoat for him. |
I guess I'm in the minority. My girls are dressed almost all the time. :) They do have nicer dresses for holidays and a few other things that they wouldn't wear day to day, but they almost always have something on and a bow...not that it stops them from being the tomboys they are in any way, shape or form! Sometimes they are naked at night, but they do have quite an assortment of pjs too. |
My 4 girls only dress up for pics & holidays, or when granddaughter wants them to play dress up. It's so warm here, naked is preferred. (For the doggies, I mean:D:D:D) |

In the winter they wear pjs & sweaters. Then they wear them at holidays and when special things are going on, but not around the house. |
Gatsby keeps pretty warm with his natural coat its pretty thick but in the winter he needs some help he has tee-shirts for when he needs a little help and big sweaters for when he needs a lot of help and a snowsuit for playing outside in the really cold months(sometimes it gets too cold for snow so there is none on the ground but its frigid) a medium coat for fall and early spring like now and a heavy coat for when it is too cold for the light one but no snow yet. he also has a tux a raincoat and a what my family calls his Gay boy vest for special occasions. my chi-mix however always has something on pj at night and a dress during the day a light tee-shirt in the summer unless its bath time she is wearing something she cannot control her body temp well in the winter she shacks so bad it looks like she might be about to have a seizure(rushed stupidly to the vet more then once) and in the summer her dark brown coat keeps her too hot (i made little pastel colored capes so that the sun would reflect off of them it helps) our other dogs wear sweaters when they need them but mostly just bandannas |

Bella wears coats and sweaters in the winter. She has a birthday dress and a Christmas dress for those special days. Otherwise she's naked. :) |
Lexi wears clothes all the time...she hates being nekkid. When you take off her clothes for a bath she will go sit by her dresser and wait for you to come put something on her. She has always worn clothes since 8 weeks old so I think she likes the feeling of clothes on her. She even wears jammies at night and when she is feeling a little under the weather or just really tired she always wants her piggy jammies. She loves to be brushed and her hair up out of her eyes :) spoiled little girl |
