That looks like it will work. You can keep us updated on how it is doing on keeping the hawks away. I know you have been worried sick about them and I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that this is the trick. I can't imagine with their wing span they could get through to the yard. |
Wow:) Do you think any raindrops will get through? Just joking...I think it is fabulous... |
That looks great and actually looks like it will work - I could not picture what you were talking about. Thank you for the picture help yorkieusa! |
I saw this in AZ but in a much smaller area...how heigh up is the fence? You can really feel more relaxed with your little ones going on... |
The fence is 6 1/2', but strings on the house side are tied (into little screw thingys) right under the eves, so it slopes down to the 6 1/2 ' fence...He put like a couple of strands right over the patio, so it would be higher, and raised the screw thingys high enough on the little storage shed, so that the strings would be higher than the entry door...He'd never done this (or been asked to lol), but he had a good plan...And omg'sh, yes, my nerves have settled down soooooooo much... |

Sweet Apple, that's EXACTLY what you needed to do. The birds swoop, so they can't get between the strands. We do the same thing with our koi ponds, only we use heavy monofilament fishing line. It's not as obvious to people, but the birds still see it. |

Oh man, I could see my HOA having a fit if I put up something like that! I guess I'll have to try the crow decoys. |
