I have 2 skin boys and 1 skin girl so I needed one more girl and God gave me Holly. |
Empty nest syndrome certainly is filled by the wonderful world of the Biewers. |
I didn't set out to get a yorkie, or even a dog for that matter. I was home visiting for a while and my dad's girlfriend had three yorkies (one of which my dad had just recently bought her for Christmas). He female, Princess, accidentally got pregnant and had an adorable litter of 3 pups. I stopped by to see them and instantly fell in love with Boo Boo. The other 2 weren't very interested in me, but Boo Boo wouldn't leave me alone. He was the most adorable thing I had ever seen in my life. After playing with him for a couple hours I had to tear myself away and go home. A few hours later she called me and told me I could have him. Apparently, he whined for quite a while after I left. Some things are just meant to be, and Boo Boo was meant to be mine. He's been my best pal ever since. He follows me everywhere, runs and plays with me all day, and curls up and watches tv with me at night. He's fearless, and is begs me everyday to let him take on my neighbor's 3 giant mastiffs, however he jumped back and cowered when we saw a garter snake in the yard today. My little dog loves me with everything he's got, and knows for a fact that he is as loved as any living creature can be. He gives me a reason to laugh every single day, even on days when tears seem the only option. He's smart, and goofy, and playful, and snuggly. In short he is the best dog I've ever met. You asked why a yorkie. The answer is that THIS yorkie was a perfect fit for me. There are a million dog breeds out there, and someone who loves a dog of each breed. Loving a dog isn't about loving a breed, it's about loving that particular dog, and if you find the right one it's priceless! My life wouldn't be the same without my little baby boo! |
thank you, cirlonde! i think it's much like how i wanted a boy so badly when i was pregnant..and i got a girl. she is my WORLD regardless of the fact she wasn't the boy i always wanted, lol. i did end up having a boy, btw. anyhow, i do think it's the same - we love our pets just like we love our chidren- regardless of breed, size, temperament, etc. we are all biased to our babies!
