| My Yorkie Prefers My Husband For some reason, my Yorkie has really taken to my husband. He follows him around, jumps excitedly when he gets home from work, and seems a lot sadder when he is not around. Ok, this is bothering me for one reason....I do everything for him (feed, walk, pet, and take care of him). My husband does nothing but play with him for a half hour after work. Maybe that is why Rocco likes me husband so much? He associates him with fun and me with just normal routine stuff. Anyway, I am really happy they get along but geesh...a little gratitude for mommy!

| My Kelsey does this with my boyfriend somewhat. She get's suuuper excited when i get home from work. When my boyfriend is home she just seems more happy and wanting to play, whereas when I am home she is moping around and sleeping ..

| Thats how our first yorkie Chachi is. He is through and through a daddys boy. He will do anything for his daddy. He was supposed to be my dog so we got a female and she is my baby.

| I think this is similar to the first post I made here at YT. My other two dogs, a poodle and yorki poo were supposed to be "mine" too and they both ended up Daddy's boys completely. It's an alpha thing I swear. They think I am lower on the totem pole I guess..lol So now we have a 4 month old yorkie female and hopefully (fingers crossed), she is gonna be a mama's girl. It's hard to say yet..she just wants to run and play so much that she doesnt come to either of us much yet. But she does follow the two boys around constantly, which worries me cause they are always always goin to daddy.. I got some good advice on that thread,,click on my name and check my first post if you would like to see. |

| Oh yeah, one more thing. I totally understand about the daddy being all the fun and you being the "bad guy" with baths and grooming and boring old stuff that they dont like. I have to do all that and daddy gets to sit there and play fetch and slip her a sneaky snack when I'm not lookin' !!! |

| you just need to play with him more. dont worry he loves you just as much my pup gets super excited when he sees daddy too. they really bonded the first day we got him. lol when my sis & i left them in the car together for an hour or so while we shopped for doggy stuff at wal-mart. haha we were just suppose to run in real quick and get dog food. its probably just that your yorkie doesnt see his daddy as often as he sees you so he likes that extra time to play |

| My husband is always away for his job (military) so I guess when Rocco does see him, he gets excited. As far as another little one...tempting thought but what handfuls they are at young ages. Hmmm, maybe an older rescued dog though....

| My Aleah loves Daddy and doesn't come near me. Her sister Lulu is my shadow and my baby. So daddy has his baby and I have mine. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't know why some yorkies just attach themselves to one person...My husband is home almost ALL the time - and I'm the one who leaves and does all the 'stuff' to the girls...yet they are GLUED to me and wait by the door when I'm not home - my husband loves them as much as I do - but they never follow him around or wait by the door ... They LOVE you whether they are always glued to you or they aren't...you can bet on that |
