heeeelp!!!!! max is drivin me crazy.. he has changed into such a loveable little guy to a spoilt brat... cries when i leaves him.. everywhere i go he has to go even follows me into the bathroom!! barks now when ever he hears a noise or growls.... an all this started when he met up with a "bitch" .... the other nite.. an got down to business with her!! what has happened my baby???? |
Oh dear...your baby has become a man! |
Real Business??? Please tell me he is neutered or she is spayed. |
he is neutered i thought it mite have calmed him down a bit.. but he has changed so much now....maybe he is in love:p |
Ummm are you serious? |
Sounds like love to me. He doesn't need his mommy anymore now that there is a "bitch' around! :) |
yeah well i feel he has changed he doesnt seem to listen to me anymore if i givve out to him for doin wrong... an just got noiser!! |
How long ago was he neutered? Not sure I am following:) Are you saying you thought having him neutered would calm him down, or being with a female would calm him down? |

He's now changed and that's because you let him do this....I would have read all I could before the deed was done..... ps - dogs don't fall in love - they fall into lust - pretty much like a large part of the human population ...only with dogs - it's not visual - it's instinctual only have fun - you now have a stud dog |
:confused:I am confused. Did this happen BEFORE you had him neutered? |
This is what happens when you allow your guy to run around with females all willy-nilly. Neutered or not, allowing that kind of behavior comes with consequences. Too bad you didn't figure that out before hand. :( Thank your lucky stars that him whining and following you is the worst of your problems. Allowing that kind of thing without proper supervision could be very dangerous to both the female and your little guy. |
I am not understanding the "getting down to business" part??? How can he if he is neutered? Could you elaborate a little more please? He is 1 1/2 years old correct? When was he neutered? If it was recent it takes awhile to get rid of all those hormones.. thanks |

Not your fault that he wanted it, but totally your fault that as an owner, you let it happen. And yes, neutered or not, there is a possibility for plenty of "harm in it." He could have been seriously injured. So could the female. I'm sorry to say, but his sudden change in behavior is most likely a direct result of the decision you have made. Furthermore, the manner in which you posted, making light of the situation, is not likely to win you lots of support. The majority of the members here focus on the well being of the dog FIRST and generally frown upon a disregard for the best interest of these dogs. |

Are you kidding me?!?! |
Call me naive....but why is it dangerous for the dogs to engage even though there is no chance of pregnancy??? I am not being funny or anything, I just truly don't know. My male yorkie (neutered) never got down to business and my Trixie won't either. :animal-pa |
This is nature - it is what all animals do....it is a natural thing....good grief people!!! |

From my understanding they can break their wee wee. I know the female controls when he can release. But, I thought this was just when a female was in heat. I am not sure what they can do. I have never seen a neutered dog go all the way. Just the normal humping of the leg which is very normal. |

I thought it was the boy who locked with the female?? They have these things that swell around the base of his peeper. Can you tell I would not be a great breeder? My terminology is childish at best! :p |

Both the male and female could be hurt... it may be a natural "urge" for dogs but so is jotting in front of cars, eating chocolate, and running away from home... yet responsible owners prevent their dogs from doing these things in order to protect them. |

i dunno....i've been "fixed" - because i had a c section, 1 girl, and 1 boy - so i figured, "hey, while you're in there..." anyway, i don't see much difference - men and women get fixed and still do the deed all the time. why would dogs be any different as far as desire to do it? i don't think the OP said anything wrong or was irresponsible because her neutered dog got frisky - good lord. |

When a male is "fixed", his testicles are completely removed, they don't have the hormones anymore which make the penis erect, do that to a man and he will not have an erection.. PERIOD.. When they spay a female, ALL of her female organs are removed. ovaries, uterus, etc. So there is also not hormones pumping through her body and no desire to mate. Dogs mate for offspring ONLY, not for the desire to have sex like humans. I am in awe of the fact you don't know the basics of biology.. |
