His "thing" is stuck!!! HELP! :S Hi All - me yet again tonight.. I read this super long thread on YT just now but it was soo long and it went off topic so I did not actually see any suggestions for "unstucking" his thing... He was doing his usual night fun (which he does every night) and came back with his thing still out (I did not actually think it ever goes out) but I think that in the action maybe he rubbed it too hard and the skin folded inside? it seems like it should be painful to him but he does not seem to mind it.. I saw him licking there, maybe trying to fix it, but then he stopped and it is still there (very small portion of it as it is not erect). If he is not able to fix it, and I have no idea how to do it either without causing him pain or infection - should I then take him to the vet? Or is there any safe way for me to fix it for him? I do not want him getting infected. Thanks in advance! |
If there is hair on the penis then it can get rolled up and the hair and trap it in. You need to unroll the sheath of the penis to get it back in. you don't want to leave it out. Just gently pull on the penis hair and you can slowly get it to unroll. |
Use the plain old KY Jelly and rub some on his little rocket. It should go back in shortly. We've had this problem in our house quiet often. |

A cloth with some ice folded in it can help. He still may need some 'assistance', though. |

I just run some tepid water over mine and it works everytime :) |

KY Jelly or Vaseline, it works every time |
Thank you all for the very fast responses. His skin rolled in pretty tight with all his hair and it was really difficult to unroll it. I put some KY gel on it, rubbed it in but it did not work.. so my husband did it his way and after several minutes of trying and Samy trying to escape his grip, he managed to fix it all. Now Samy is sleeping in my lap quite heavily. This was not a fun experience for him but he did not make a noise... tough boy :) |
I am happy for you and Samy that all is okay now. All I can think right now is thank goodness I have a girl lol :) |
A friend of mine took her male to the vet for this problem. He told her to put sugar on it and she said it worked immediately. |

Now see, I KNEW there was a reason that this is my first male dog! |
Is this the kind of thing I have to look forward to lol? I am getting a little boy next week I forgot about the red wiener thing.....eek!!! |
My boyfriends dog had that problem too. I used plain sugar and pulled the skin up alittle and it worked. It happened twice and both times I fixed his problem. |
True Story My husband and I were at Walt Disney World in the Magic Kingdom and I get a frantic phone call from my daughter saying that Brody's pee pee is sticking out and won't go back in . . .:p Now, picture this conversation on the phone, at the Magic Kingdom, people are walking by and staring at me as I try to explain how to unroll the sheath and pull up on the hairs . . I'm sure I was the topic of conversation for the remainder of several people's vacation . . . Although I did learn a valuable lesson . . .Humpy Duck must go away when we go on vacation . . .:D |

My (adult) daughter is in charge of this condition: she puts some AstroGlide on a Q-tip and wipes the area, then gets the little hairs out and trims them up for him. She is now his favorite person in the household :D  |
ROTFL LOLOLOLO hehehehehe...*chuckle* Tears* that was an entertaining read....I have a little boy who is a stray...So I hope I learned too. |

I have several Chihuahua's 3 of them or male and I have never had one get stuck in a position like that.(Thank Goodness) A friend of mine that is a breeder of Chi's says sometimes her boys get over excited and she usually says they were packing lipstick! I am also very happy that my Yorkie Bella is a girl. |

Only do it if it actually stuck because the do come out on their own and go back when the male licks himself. Best way to avoid the pink lipstick coming out of it's case, is to neuter. :D |
