Camden is out of surgery!
 
I thought I would just start a new thread.
Camden is out of surgery. Starting with her teeth, I guess they were awful despite our best efforts. I think the lack of care she had the first couple of years of her life prior to us getting her didn't help! He said a couple teeth are a little loose, but may tighten or she could end up losing.

The hernia was small, but deep and it had some fatty tumors around it. She's not fat at all. :(
She has 7 internal staples and the incision is between 2-3" long. :eek:
Needless to say she will be sore and it will take some time to get back to her normal self. They are keeping her all day to monitor her and she will of course be on pain meds.
I feel so bad for her, but I'm thankful she came through surgery ok! I'm hoping recovery isn't too long for her.
I really appreciate all the kind words and prayers!

I'm glad the surgery is over. She'll probably recover very well. Probably quicker than you would think.:)

I'm sorry but I feel so sad reading this...Camden must be in pain :( it reminded me something else.. I hope Camden will recover to his old self soon, keep us updated

I'm glad all went well with Camden's surgery!! I'm still waiting to hear on Rhianna . . .the wait is just dreadful! I know they told me that they'd call as soon as she was done . . .but it's really hard sitting here pondering!

Thank you everyone! I do feel very relieved and like a weight has been lifted off! She will probably recover faster then I will! :p
Can't wait to get her at the end of the day!

I am glad it is over and I just realized that camden was a girl!! duh me anyways I am glad that SHE is out of surgery and now she can recover with her mommy!

Camden is home now! She was hungry and ate some wet food and did potty ok!
She's now trying to rest, but I think it's hard to find a comfortable way to lay.
The hernia was more towards her side. The incision is really long, that was hard to see.
All of the good thoughts and prayers have paid off and we have our baby back home!

Thanks! She's had some wet food this morning and did both at potty this morning. So we were very happy about that!
She's wanting to stay in her crate. I think she wants to be alone and not have the other two bother her.
Wrigley has been sweet! Laying in front of it and trying to kiss her. They both know she doesn't feel well.
I think she's eating better then the other two! :cool:

I'm didn't even see this thread till now, so sorry to hear about this, but I'm so glad Camden is doing well now, surgery is always such a scary thing. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

She didn't eat much yesterday, so we were getting a little concerned. So today when the vet called, he suggested trying boiled chicken & rice and she ate every bite!
She isn't feeling well by any means, but I wouldn't either with seven staples and a long incision! :(
So many surgeries and too many illnesses this week, rough week for so many!

I\'m so glad she ate, that\'s alway a great sign. You\'re right this has been a rough week.

I that right after his surgery Hot Rod ate but like a day or 2 after, he stopped eating. We wound up stopping the pain meds and he nibbled but really didn\'t eat a whole lot like he did the first 2 meals.
