That is FANTASTIC news :) I'm just now seeing this thread but I wanted you to know that Forest's story touched me so deeply that I promptly donated to help with his recovery. I wish I could do more....you are a hero ;):thumbup:

Thank you so much!! People like you are what allow Jen and the others to help these poor pups. They couldn't do it without your help!!! :)

How lucky he is to have found his way to you!! How could anyone not love him :animal-pa I hope they figure out what is causing his problems.

How is Forrest doing these days?

I have to say that he reminds me so much of when I had Truman. He wasn't able to walk from lack of food and water. But after about a week he started to move a round a lot. Then after a month he was trotting in the yard. Keep feeding him the good stuff and he will get stranger. ;) How do his ears look? Did you try the antifungal on his ears? I can't wait to see come happy pictures of Forrest.

Also, everyone that donated to help Forrest~thank you for the bottom of my heart! Whenever I start to feel like maybe it isn't worth all the hassles it is YTer that come around and boost me back up with their generosity! :D

Forrest continues to get stronger each day. We've started the transition to a better quality food for him and I'm hoping his weight and muscle strength will improve even more quickly now.

Forrest loves being outside....poor boy, I don't think his previous owners ever took him outside. :( But, we do take him out daily - and he so enjoys laying in the shade.:)

I've seen him walk several times now - even if he is shaky and stumbles - I know he can do it! Even if he doesn't ever run a marathon, I know he will eventually run too!

His ears are looking better, not near as dry. They don't look or feel near as brittle as they were.

AND.....YES....Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to those who have donated in Forrest's name. I'm not good at asking for or receiving anything, always preferring to be the giver - but in Forrest's case, his needs are much greater than my pride. :)

Cindy, he is like my daily heart "pick-me-up". I look at him and realize - "you know, I don't really have any problems in life compared to little Forrest!" He makes me realize what ever comes our way - we can handle it. People think I'm helping Forrest but don't realize just how much he can help anyone's attitude about life!:)

I just found the original thread about Forrest, I am so happy you have him Jen. I will say a prayer for Forrest every night in hopes he gets stronger and has every chance to run around your backyard with Louis.

I made a small donation to help Forrest If there is anything he needs please let me know, I will do what I can.

Thank you for rescuing him (he has captured my heart).

How is he doing now? What did the vet decide is going on with him?

this just touched me. I'm so glad little forrest is getting better. With your love and everyones support he will be running in no time=]. Poor babies ears, I'm glad to hear they are healing. I'm so glad he has found someone like you, who cares enough to nuture him back to health. You truely are a blessing, and guardian angel to him.

I am hoping for some good news today!

Little Forrest is so cute, I love to hear that he is walking and enjoying his time outside!

Changing food makes such a difference, and a vet helps too, but all that love he is getting from you Jen, and everyone on here is just heartwarming!
