Wishing you good luck tomorrow! My Kayla and Karlee were spayed yesterday and also had some baby teeth removed and were microchiped. Both are doing fine today, just a little sore and sleepy. |
I know it's really hard to face. She'll be fine. You'll see. I know exactly how you are feeling. It's absolutely normal. Do your best to relax.:) |
You and Pixie will be in my thoughts tomorrow. Feel better quick little Pixie. Hugs to you both.:) |
Hi Joyce...I just wrote you a message on your profile page and then checked to see if you had started a thread. I've prayed for your sweet baby and will continue to do so until I hear good news! I felt so nervous and worried with each of my girls with the spay. I did get to bring each of them home the same day and I pray you will be able to also. Be sure they send her home with pain meds! Some vets don't and I think that's terrible! When you bring her in...ask if you can come up and hold her after the surgery. They let me do that with Faith, but she was crying so much, they just figured she'd do better if I was there. They just put me in a room with her and came in to check her now and then. Big hugs to you...I hope you can get some sleep tonight and tomorrow, this will all be behind you! |
Thank you everyone for your support and prayers. I am a wreck here waiting to hear from the Vet. Pixie whined when they took her and she looked up at me like Mom don't let them take me. It just broke my heart. I gave them one of her blankets from home so that she would feel more secure. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear anything. Should I go buy some wet food? She is haveing alot of baby teeth removed I think she has 10 teeth that have to be removed. |

Pixie is in my thoughts and prayers this morning. She'll be back home with you before you know it. It's so hard to leave our babies at the vet when they have surgery. You worry until you hear that everything is fine. |
Just now seeing this. Sending prayers and positive thoughts for Pixie and her mommy. |
I will pray for Pixie. I know how you are feeling my baby is going to be spayed with in the next couple of weeks and the thought has been driving me crazy !!! She is in my prayers and she will be just fine !! |
Awww Joyce, we will definitely send good thoughts and prayers yours and Pixie way. She will be fine and back in your arms in no time. :) Ask the vet when you can give her some additional pain meds, should she need them. Maggie was in a bit of discomfort the night of her spay. As soon as we gave her some pain meds, she quieted right down and went to sleep. Hugs to you. It's never easy. :) |
I just got the call from the Vet I was about to call him. He waited until Pixie came out of anesthesia to call! ugh I was stressing. Anyways he says everything went well and she is still real groggy. If all goes well she can come home tonite. Thanks everyone for your prayers and support and I will post when she comes home~Joyce |
Oh PTL!!! I'm so happy to see your update! Getting that call is just such a relief and makes the waiting a little bit easier. I will be checking back for updates. Can't wait to hear that she is home with you again! Did you ask them how many teeth they pulled? Hugs to you! |
Yay, the worst is over. Now just get her home and baby her for a while and you will be amazed at how quickly they can recover. Kayla and Karlee are almost completely back to normal, only 2 days after spay. Well, the only complication is that they are a little more spoiled and both want to be on my lap at the same time. Their incision is tiny and it was stitched inside, so no prob w/licking stitches. Good luck with Pixie's recovery, and hope you can relax now too. Hugs to all. |
I'm glad to hear that everything went well so far. Sending prayers and good thoughts for a quick recovery to Pixie! :) I'll be thinking of you two today. |
Glad to hear that all went well! Way to go Pixie! Someone is going to be so spoiled by mommy! lol :D |
