I am going to get a lifevest for Bailey and see how she likes the water. Getting excited now to see how she does. |
Just remember even though you taught them where the stairs are, if they fall in, they will panic and may not find the stairs. Always supervise them or have a gate or fence around the pool. So many sad stories of small doggies who know how to swim drowning when they wander into the pool area alone and just panic and their little leggies wear out before they find their bearings. Ted has been taught how to swim, find the stairs, and has a life vest; yet I had a gate built due to the sad stories I read. With summer coming up we all need to never, ever take for granted that our wee ones can swim. They're not safe unless we're there with them. Take extra precautions this Summer and have fun. xo |
