I had her at the groomers today for the first time. Some of her hair was broken and needed evened out. I don't think she looks that much different but I had 3 people ask me what kind of dog she is. She is really small, maybe that through them off. What do you think yorkie or not??

(The first picture is before haircut and the second and third are after.)

Definitely a Yorkie! Shes a pretty little thing too. The first picture had me in stitches! Hilarious!!

Yorkie!!! :) Those people just don't know what a Yorkie is LOL! I have had people ask me what Cerise is :rolleyes: When I say "a Yorkshire Terrier" and I always get "really?!" and either they never seen one before or they say she is so little :confused: She's only 8 months old...LOL

Ha Ya that first one is a little questionable.

Reminds me of a few weeks ago, my 2 1/2 year old grandson spent the night and he slept with me. When he woke up and looked at me, he said "are you grammy?" Apparently I resembled Grammy but with no makeup and my hair all sticking out every which way, he wasn't quite sure.

This has happened to me, of course Maddie doesn't have the usual long Yorkie hair do. Maybe people just don't know what a Yorkie really looks like. ??? :)

Wanted to add she is a cutie pie of a yorkie to me.

I am the type of person that would reply to the people asking if she was a yorkie...nope she is a great dane :p

I had someone tell me once when I had Chloe out that "they breed those (pointing to Chloe)" I said "oh really, Yorkies are the best", they said, "No Schnauzers... isnt she a Schnauzer?" :eek: You breed a dog and dont even know what it looks like, :confused:

I saw Fiona looks like a GORGEOUS YORKIE! :D

Too cute! You gotta love kids and the honesty they spew... LOL!!! "are you grammy?":yelrotflm made me laugh so hard my eyes teared up and now my Hubby is staring at me all crazy!

She is one precious Yorkie!! I do love that first picture of her - reminds me of the poster of the cat that say "having a bad hair day'!! My Toffee's ears never went up, and lots of people asked me what kind of a dog she was...I would say Yorkie, and they would say "Oh - really" about then I wanted to bop them in the nose!!!:D

The people that asked that question just probably thought she was adorable but don't have a clue about breeds. My husband has learned most of what he knows about specific breeds since we met. He just didn't know.

Aw! Fiona looks beautiful in her new haircut.:p People just don't recognize breeds per se. Of course she looks like a yorkie and she's a beautiful little girl at that. No wonder mommie loves her so much.:)

Oh my gosh, are you serious?!?!? She TOTALLY looks yorkie!!! I think a lot of people just don't know much about yorkies, or they don't want to look stupid if they say "yorkie" and are wrong...She's such a little cutie pie!!!
