Gracie's ears never stood up and when I got her at 7 months I didn't bother and try to make them stand up, she is cute the way she is;) But when I got her there was her sister still left and her ears were straight up. Because of Gracie's ears the breeder discounted her to 700.00. I would of paid full price;) |

In any event, I started this thread earlier today on the subject to get input from others. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...s-genetic.html I don't like stating something for fact and then not providing proof when asked. I pulled out some of my books and flipped through them seeing what I can find. All of these contain the information you need to support the fact: Control of Canine Genetic Diseases - George Padgett (which I have found to be the most helpful, informative book about genetics ever...actually used it to write a college thesis on mitochondrial disorders ) Genetics for Dog Breeders - Roy Robinson The Genetic Connection - Lowell Ackerman |

Ill post a picture of him. I didnt have to do anything for his ears to stand ....they just stood up by themselves...he still has not had a hair cut neither. |
Hi all Hi everyone. I just got an adult and she's almost 2, it seems the people I got her from neglected her a bit. She needed to be groomed and had a few knots around the collar. Anyway her ears are floopy but they are high floopy ears, the very tips seems to be the only thing going down. When I call her they go all the way up except the tips. The groomer left her long hair on her ears and its very cute, but I didn't want to keep it that way if they are trying to stand up and the weight of the hair is bring them down. Any advice? |
