Puppy pads....getting expense..any other ideas? Hi....so, using puppy pads is really only way to go for us, we live in mts. so every animal you can think of beside an elephant, live here..lol..so I don't feel it is safe to take them outside for potty...the buzzards swirl 2 min after taking them onto the deck, for a lil fresh air! uggg! anyway, with 2 yorkies now, it is getting so expensive, for the puppy pads.....any suggestions? would appreciate it.. Thanks everyone! |
I sell washable pads along with disposable pads on my site. It may be another alternative for you?? PM me if I can help :) |
Howdy, neighbor! We use washable potty pads here -- I get mine from Used Waterproof Pads . I have been using the same pads (222-2732 27x32 Minimal or None Minimal or None Minimal or None Most popular, Best Value $4.95) for the past 3 or four years. I have accumulated enough pads so that I only wash full loads about 3 times per week. I would also like to promote our YT Sellers -- there are several that offer Washable Potty Pads. Some of our sellers will even custom make pads to coordinate with your color scene. If you don't get the information you are looking for, do a search on Washable Potty Pads and you'll a lot more info. |

I love Ryans washables. I have been washing everyday (in rotation since last summer) and they are all in great shape. Detergent, and oxy powder and they clean up nicely! These really hold up! |
Oh thanks for the info...thank you, thank you, thank you....going to contact RDB911 immediatley.... how many you think for 2 small yorkies in a day? should I just count how many disposables in a day and double that so I wash every other day? sorry if this sounds like I am an idiot..lol..just want to make sure I get enough, to get started... |

With the washable pads you may only need to change them once a day. |
Were in the process of building bailey and layla a little sod box. If you have a handy husband or boyfriend you can get the materials for around 20 bucks and then to change it every 2 weeks (which is reccomended) its about 4 dollars for new sod. so 8 bucks a month is pretty cheap |
I use the same washable pads as chattiesmom does. I have gotten the used one's but normally you can't even tell they are used.... |
I still use disposables but I have some of Ryans washables as well and they dont need to be changed as often as disposables... I go through about 6 disposables a day... with the washables two is all I need and I only really need two because I need them in different areas of the house or my little critters cant remember to walk across the room, |
I sell decorative washables to match your home and I offer 20% off to YT members. :) |

Thanks for the link! I have been looking around for reusable potty pads, but the price has scared me away. This will be perfect! Thanks again!:D |
I use the doggie pads from Walgreens $10.00 for 50 pads |
Layla "goes" outside for the most part but she has a piece of artificial turf (Green outdoor Carpet) that I have a plastic tray under. It just hose it off and its done. Cheap and super easy to clean. |
We use the 101 dalmation pads from Kroger. 101 for $19.99, but they are not very absorbent, so we need to make a switch! |
I pay $15.00 for 50 pads, so that's not too bad. I think just checking around to find good deals and maybe they are cheaper the larger the quantity? Try emailing the companies who make them and see if they won't give you a generous coupon! |
