| New to site & to Yorkies Hi! I might be taking on an 8 month old little guy on monday! I have no clue about Yorkies at all. I have a concern about my Quaker parakeet and if the dog will kind of stalk the bird or something? Also, what would be some good advice to a new Yorkie owner. I am excited but clueless. My other pets are the parrot & a 15yr old toy poodle. Thanks! |

| My yorkie hates birds! In fact, she chases them at every opportunity. That's the only thing she doesn't like though.

| Hello and Welcome to YT! I am still a newbie and I have learned so much by reading everything this site has to offer. I am also a first time yorkie owner and I learn something new everyday. Good Luck and enjoy your baby! |

| Welcome to YT. Our Missy loves her playmate Tonka, our eclectus. I can let Tonka out and they will run around on the floor together. Missy has never tried to hurt Tonka but I just have to watch to make sure she doesn't get too excited and get too rough. We also have a Blue and Gold Macaw named Mickey. I worry more about Missy getting to close to her cage and getting bitten than I worry about Missy hurting Mickey. Good luck with your new family member! |

| Welcome to YT! Congrats on adopting a new little guy! I dont think that the parrot will be a problem, but your poodle may get a little jealous since they have been the only one for so long! With some training it should work out and enjoy your new addition!
