wants to sleep with me Mia ia almost 5 months old and has always slept in her crate. The last two nights, she has jumped up on my bed prior to me going to bed and settled in. I think she wants to sleep with me. Is she too young? Her crate is always moved to the side of my bed at night. so It is not like she is lonely. Winston the pug does sleep with me. |
Twinkie, which is my little girl, has slept with me from the start. She slept in her carrier right next to my pillow until a couple of months ago and now she sleeps without her carrier right next to me in bed. If you feel good about it, I don't see why not. Especially since your other baby sleeps with you. |
Teddy moved into bed with us at 12 weeks old. He is a real bump on a log - he konks right out and sleeps like a log all night so I never had to worry like I did when the others were babies. |
I don't see a problem with Mia sleeping with you as long as she don't go potty on the bed. Mine all sleep with me:D |
Jackson began sleeping in bed with me at around 16 weeks old. He never pottied once on the bed or anything. If you want her to sleep w/ you, go for it. |
Yep :D She wants to sleep with you! Cerise has slept with me every night since I brought her home and we both love it. Two weeks ago I started reading a daily devotional page every night when we settle in bed and now she looks forward to it. She snuggles next to me with her head on me to listen while I read and when I finish she moves over on her blanket to go to sleep :) |
Mine sleeps with me, too.:p |
Well Mia made her way into bed. I put her into her crate as usual and then during the night I felt her trying to get on the bed. I looked down and she had gotten out of her crate (I guess, I didn't fully lock the bottom) I picked her up and tried to put her back in but she wanted no part of it. Up on the bed she went and right away curled up with Winston and went to sleep. Sleep until after 7. So bed it is.. |
Rucker has slept with me every night since I brought him home (3 months ago). I think it is one reason he is so bonded to me. In fact, when I am home and he is sleeping, it has to be on or by me. He is on my lap asleep right now! |
Bently has slept with me and my wife since he was about 12 weeks old. I go to bed before my wife and I'll tell him..... come on lets go to bed and he follows me to the bed.... but the last couple of nights he hides under the bed when he follows me to the bedroom. I'll call his name and look all over for him but he won't come out. After I give up looking (I know where he is because he's not a very good hider, his backside is sticking out from under the bed) and go to bed for a few minutes he'll come out and jump on top the bed, give me a kiss, and go to bed..... I say let them all sleep with you.......... |
What makes me laugh is when she wants to go to bed before I'm ready and starts giving me that look!:D |
Mia won't potty in the bed, actually we are on a roll, no accidents all week. |
Things are perfect then...:p |
At 5 months, Lexi was in bed with us. I don't *always* let her sleep with us, and sometimes she prefers the couch. It is nice to have a dog that will sleep on the bed, but won't whine if she isn't allowed. Sometimes my bf and I need some alone time. No dogs allowed. |
As soon as mine were trained and had learned to use the stairs they came to bed with me... Armani was about 6 months old and Chloe was about 4 months old. No time is too soon if your ready for it :) |
well, I just found her trying to get on the bed for her nap. I helped her out! |
Martini slept with me since day and never wet the bed...the only time she wets the bed is when i come home and she gets too excited and is sitting on thebed to greet me haha |
Sofia has slept with me almost from the beginning. She has stairs to climb up and down on her own. So she thinks it's her bed and she is just sharing with us. |

Both of my boys have slept in bed w/ me from the beginning. :) |
Pixie slept in a crate right next to my bed until she was 6 months. I started taking a few naps with her when I was sick and that was the end of the crate. I don't mind bc Daisy sleeps with us as well. The more the merrier!!! lol I do put Pixie in the middle of the bed near my head, and I am a light sleeper so I check her throughout the night and cover her if she seems to be cold. she always wakes me if she has to pee by licking my face;) even though she has stairs for the bed and could go pee by herself on her pad. She feels the need to have company when she pees, maybe she is afraid of the boogie man!!! lol |

So says your little one! She's out of the crib and into the big girl bed! |
LOL...these little doggie's antics are so cute! Maddie is 5 months old today! She has been sleeping in the bed with us for a few weeks. Our bed is kind of high but she can jump up and down by herself. I do not really like her jumping down. I'm afraid it is hard on her legs. She is very good and does not potty in the bed. She will lick my face when she needs to go (usually around 5:00 am) and I will take her to her pad. Little stinker...she cracks me up when she is tired and goes pee! She squats there on the pad and will usually let out a big yawn while doing her business. :D I just love her to pieces!!! |
My bed isn't too high and if she gets a running start, she has no problem. She only has a problem if she is standing next to it and tries to jump. Although she has managed that a few times. She flies off the bed when she chooses and really loves to go mid flight. Same with the couch. She sometimes rather jump off the arm than the cushion. I think she is a little tom boy. Thank god, I have carpeting! |
I let Sandy sleep with me only when we're taking a nap. When he sees me in bed, he'll jump up and down asking me to pick him up. When he's in the bed, he'll find a perfect spot and falls asleep in seconds. He loves our duvets :D I do not let him sleep with me over the night though. I'm very afraid I may hurt him like kicking him off the bed (who knows?) when I sleep. My guy is tiny, he's only 3lbs at 7month. |

My bed is pretty high and after my little girl jumping out of my arms and breaking her leg I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable having her sleep with me in the bed. She's been in her XPen with her doggy bed since her accident. The first night I got her home she fell asleep curled up in a little ball next to me on my coach (it was the sweetest thing ever!) and was fine and she also took a nap with me once and my fiance in our bed and was okay too. I know she loved it, and she always wants to cuddle, but I'm just so scared she'd jump down and hurt herself again. I got stairs, so maybe once she's all healed and better from her broken leg, and trained with the stairs, I MAY let her..I just hear horror stories too much though about the little ones jumping down off beds and breaking their legs to much to feel completely comfortable with it. My little girl is only 3 months+ and 2 pounds a few ozs. and will be about 3.5lbs fully grown so she's a little fragile one. |
