Eastern NC PlayDate .....Vote Please!

As many of you know, I have been sending many of you who have PM'd me information about planning for the Eastern NC Playdate. There are about eight of us who live in the Eastern Part of NC who have expressed an interest.

There is a park in NC who is leashless and which has a subsection that is closed off and most of these are small dogs. One of those who had wanted to come did not want to go to Raleigh. So, having said that.....


I need a vote on where to have the Playdate. So, let me know your thoughts on this issue. AND.....

I also need to know a vote on the date for the meetup. Here are some dates, which include 10-29, 11-5, 11-19, 12-3, 12-10, and 12-17(which may be too close to Christmas).

I NEED YOUR VOTE CAST SO WE CAN PROCEED BEFORE WE MAKE PLANS ELSEWHERE....., SO IF YOU WOULD ;) ....

It will be so exciting to meet with other YT'ers who are interested and can come.

Also, you would be close to your niecey. And of course Bella, General Patton, and Ms Lipstk(otherwise known as Tazmanian Devil, hehe) :D

Hey Maria! Thanks so much for all you are doing to make this possible!! I am very partial to having it in Raleigh for obvious reasons, but am open to traveling. As far as I know, all of those dates seem fine for us. I would prefer to have it after 11/5, since that is my 2 year wedding anniversary weekend, but we don't have any big plans, so I could make it if that is what everyone else agrees on. Hope we get this finalized soon. Can't wait to meet everyone and their babies!! :)

Raleigh is fine with me and any date except 11/19 works (so sorry hannah and thor!)....UNC-Duke game, one of the few things that comes before my dog's social life.....

I'm interested in the Dog Park in Raleigh. Has anyone been there yet? I'd love for Sophie to meet other Yorkie Talk buddies...and of course...see her Brother Patton~ ;)

November seems like a better month...we will do our best to go with the flow~ :D

NC YT'ers

It seems the consensus from those who have responded is to have the Eastern NC PlayDate on Nov 19 in the Raleigh Park. I will check on the availability of the leashless area in the Park. So, let's put it on our Furbabies Social Calendar for this day. I am thinking if we can do it this day to schedule it for 11AM. What do you think? Do you want it earlier or later?

Thanks Farrah for letting us know about this Park! It will be so nice to meet each of you.

Hi Maria! as you know all too well i'm in nc, and i'd love to attend the playdate. as long as annadoodle does as well so i can see my sweet sophie girl!!! i am dying to see patton (my courage) and would love to meet the others in nc. whenever you have the date and place set in stone, i'd love to attend...

maybe a little later than 11 am would work better for me...it's a good 2 1/2 hour drive for me. and i have lots of doggie stuff i have to do in the mornings before i can start my day...just a suggestion, but i'll still come if it's at 11 am. thanks,

Well I live near Jacksonville NC and I'd love to come but we only have one car and my husband works that day! Maybe some other time though. Sounds like tons of fun! Happy will be at the park that day wishing she was there with some play pals! If you ever feel like setting one up closer this way let me know. I think it's really great to socialize dogs and sometimes they need more than just ppl play! Have fun guys!

Don't be too sorry about the date conflicting with the duke unc game. Woowee!! I am a huge duke fan (being kinda bad since I didn't pay attention to that)!!!!

ps. I just wanted to say that I am kinda worried becuase I don't know how Thor will act around all these dogs. I've have said in the past he 'mean' barks at dogs until he can sniff them them he loves them, but I am just worried that he is going to be a turd head!!! Really worried...that would be so embarassing!! :confused:

Great! I am glad you can come. I thought this would be a good time for most and then they have the rest of the day to make other plans. What time is the duke game that day? By the way, my name is Maria. Bella is my Smooth fox terrier. Since I didn't have a name for my first yorkie(General Patton) when I joined Yorkietalk, I assigned the name Bella.

It will be an experience(hopefully good for sure) meeting YT'ers and their furbabies. I took General Patton out for an errand to get Canidae food for them and Patton was antisocial. He can be shy. Hopefully, he and Lipstik will behave.
