Your Next Yorkie Names?
 
My friend and I were discussing our yorkies at lunch today, and the conversation came up about getting another one. Thats out of the question right now, but I'm hoping maybe by the time Cody is 2 years old (at the latest) I'll get another pup. I was just thinking of some names for fun and I was wondering if any YT members have thought about names for a new yorkie addition to the family. . .

Mine have been -
[boys]
Cingston (like Kingston, but with a "c" because of Cody :p)
Cjae
Chance

[girls]
Chiloh
Cierra
Ceion

Tehe, I love the unusual names if you couldn't tell :)

Yup -- I've thought about this before. I *will* get another Yorkie eventually,
even if it's a year or more away from now. I've always liked Cooper and Tanner
a lot. I've tried to come up with a few 'J' names to go with Jackson but can't
really think of anything I like.

I have my hands full with the two I already have, so I have not been thinking of names lately. I always have to see them too, then it has to "fit" with who I alreay have. I love coming up with names though and it is easier to name others pets than my own. Like with Brister needing "J" names, I think Judd, Joey, and Jessie are really cute and go with Jackson.

Oh, I like both Judd and Jesse! I know too many Joey's in real life so it'd be odd for ME calling a dog Joey lol. But I do like it. Thanks for the suggestions! I also had come up with Jasper at one point in time.

I have two yorkies and I didn't name neither of them so I am not sure what I would name a third because I don't plan on a third for a long long time away. lol But I love picking names for animals. I have a green cheek conure and his name is Kiwi and it suits him so well! :p But if I had two girls I would probably call one Coco and the other Chanel :rolleyes: :D:D:D

I like the name Bearlie for a girl, as in "barely there" lol. I'm not sure about boy names, I've actually never owned a male dog but I'd love to get a male yorkie and name him Jasper or something like that.

im having issues with my next yorkies name we have a color thing going on with our dogs names that mean a color as in Raven (black ) Jade (green)
rosey (red) and Penny is (Copper) going with that theme i need a name that has money in it because Penny's reg name is A penny for your thoughts. so i need a money name i can tie into a color ...im difficult
only thing i have so far is reg name ..My two cents and Copper as a call name ....sigh

Ha I've totally thought about this too. When I get another Yorkie eventually...I wanna get a girl and name her Gidget. I just think that's such a cute name and I love that movie!

Gold is a color and money! How about Goldie or Gold-Digger!

I've thought of some but no new yorkie coming into our lives any time soon. It's funny we all have a theme. So far my theme is my favorite anime/manga.
Girls:
Auska (pronounced similar to Oscar)
Misato
Tenma
Yakumo

Boys:
Kurogane (weird since this is what I named my car :p)
Kenji
Harima
Fai

I'll probably have a much longer list when the time finally comes to add another.

I think about this all the time even though it's going to be a looooong time before I'm able to get another Yorkie. I was just thinking a couple of days ago, that I really like the name McCartney for a boy or a girl... (Mac or Mackie for short). My husband and I big Beatles fans, plus we love MAC products and I am obsessed with M.A.C. Makeup... so it's just a triple meaning for us :p

For a girl, I also really like the name Taylee. I think Taylee and Tobie sound cute together.

I love the idea of a color theme! I think a Scarlett would go well with my Olive :) I also like they name Peyton if I ever got a male dog. I honestly don't see myself getting another dog until I have a husband to help me take care of them! lol

I have thought of a name for our next puppy. We will be getting a girl (not for a while though... darn!) Anyway, our one cat is pure black and my husband named her Black Pearl. So when we got Jack, it was only fitting to name him Cpt. Jack Sparrow. Going with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme, our little girl will be named Elizabeth Swan but we will call her "Izzy" for short. :o)

I am preparing to pick up my little boy in two weeks and I am soo excited. We have gone from about a dozen names down to three.. Diesel (hubby's favorite) Murphy (daughter's favorite) and Gage. I really like the first two but if I choose one of those I might have a family war on my hands. Right now we have a pug named Maddie, a himy named Macie and lab mix named Moose. We like the M names. Any suggestions?

We are on the same boat! Myself and friend are going to be co-owning a female Biewer winter of 2012/2013. We haven't picked names for her yet but we are loving Natasha or Breonna ;D

I'd love to get another Yorkie in time and have already decided I will get a girl and call her Mimi!! Wont be for a while yet tho as it took me a year or so to convince other half to get Max and don't think I can push it.....lol

I'm thinking of getting another one eventually. I think that I want another girl. I'll probably get her when Hannah is maybe four or five. Right now she's one and a handful. I like the following names

I like Mya or Mia :p I was trying to come up with a one syllable name that could go with Moose, but I gots nuthin'!!

Your next Yorkie names
 
Those are all cute names. I read in a Yorkie book that dogs respond better to names with two syllables. Don't know why. I've known lots of dogs with only one syllable names. My daughter's Australian Shepard is names Zeke. It fits him.

Absolutely I have thought of this as well. When Armani gets her little sister, her name will be Dolce but I must confess I have fallen in love with the name Valentino lately.

We recently adopted a 5 month yorkie girl. I do not believe she had ever been on grass and she hopped like a bunny in the grass.....so Bunny it is. I do believe you have to "be" with your new one and a name will hop into your mind...get it hop, no pun attended.
I do love to think of names tho!

We love anima and manga here at my house. If I ever get another girl I am naming her Ayame after an character in InuYasha. Her full name will be Petrick's Imperial Princess Saki Ayama. My boys came up with that name shortly after we got our little girl Yumi Yasha:)

I just got my yorkie girl and I was between the names Luna, Kiwi, KeeKee, Rosie, Ginny, GiGi....

.....but in the end I chose Ruby!!! And she seems to be catching on to it now...slowly but surely! I don't know how long it takes for a puppy to learn its name...

My 14 y.o. chihuahua's name is...Ritsa (i'm greek so it's mostly a greek name).

So it's Ritsa and now...Ruby! I guess I went with the r's.

Ruby sort of came up when I thought of Harry Potter (i'm a big fan) and..Rubeus Hagrid :) Sorta weird I know...but she's so tiny and he's such a giant! Rubeus...Ruby....and that's it :)

None of the others clicked for me...although I really liked Luna (another Harry Potter one!)....

but Ruby just fit right :) ;)
