To be perfectly honest, I really don't give a flying monkey's backside if I hurt someone's feelings in those types of situations. In fact, depending on the mood I'm in on any given day, I might actually WANT to hurt someone's feelings. Maybe if enough people are blunt, then the next person will refrain from piping up and bragging about their disregard for adivce and the well being of their dogs. IMO, it wouldn't be a big loss.
:thumbup: <--- is all i can say. Well said. Sometimes threads like this get so off topic and out of hand. I personally think she's getting good advice and it's her choice to ignore it. Ella was way too young when i got her and it made her very scared of other dogs b/c she didn't have the interaction she needed from her mother or siblings.

BTW,

She is getting the puppy on the 16 of March on her BIRTHDAY!!!

Wow, I'm just noticing this thread now! I personally think it's unbelievably sad that someone is going to put a 6 week old Yorkie on a flight and then leave it at home alone for hours out of the day, it breaks my heart to think of how scared and sad this little puppy will be :( Unfortunately some people only care about what they want, not what's best for a poor helpless little puppy.

No, that thread where she was looking for a puppy was started in December - before she found this baby and posted about him.

Well, since I am one of those detectives I have to say, just think about the possiblities. I bet if we all put out mind to it we could find Osama no matter where he was hiding. Oh the possiblities, the doggie couture, gourmet treats, daily groomings that could be had from the mutlimillion $$$ reward being offered. We could shut down all of the horrible puppy mills in this country with the reward! Now that would be somethin!!!! ;)

A breeder, any dog breeder whether it's a small breed, medium breed or large breed does not allow puppies to go at 6 weeks. Well, any responsible breeder. The pup learns so much between the ages of 6-10 weeks old from the mom and their other sibblings. They learn to respect each other, learn that biting can hurt, and learn what they are going to be when they grow up!
Do you know how long a wolf cub stays with his mother in the wild. You would me amazed. Why does the cub stay with it's mother for 1-2 years? So it can learn how to survive and learn how to survive in the pack.
A 10-12 week old pup is still as cute as a 6 week old pup!

Okay, why not just give it a rest everybody??? JMO:animal-pa. Constructive criticism is one thing. Mob mentality is quite another. Everything that can be said has been said (over and over and over, again) and now it's degenerated into sarcasm. Doesn't anyone have anything else to do? :rolleyes:

I agree, how sad it will be for that poor frightened puppy. Not to mention all of the issues it will develop from not being properly socialized. the fear agression, the constant whining and barking, the rough play and biting, destroying things out of bordom, neurotic behavior. just to name a few.

It will DIE??? Where do you come up with this stuff? If it goes with you at 6 weeks it has a much higher chance of dying then if left at the breeders until 12 weeks. I am sure the puppy was not hand raised (bottle fed) by this breeder. IF the mom is really dead she probably had another bitch to feed it.

What did the mom die of anyhow?

And I don't agree the puppy will be in a better place with you..NO WAY! This so called breeder, you are ONLY supporting her, your certainly not saving any puppies or dogs.

How would the vet know how old the puppy is? Only way he/she would know is when the breeder gives the whelp date and they can tell the vet any date, they have no way to know any different..

Hmmmmm... Puppy is now being flown in cabin with the breeder??? I have read every thread and I have obviously missed her saying that. And if she did, I do NOT believe her...

She just said the puppy needs saving or it will die.. Implies the breeder is horrible...SO if so horrible why would she fly the puppy to the OP herself? Makes no sense..NADA!

I refuse to give support to anyone who has ignored everyone's warnings about buying this pup.

She started posting before she even found a breeder and tons of advice was given and she turned around and gets it anyhow. She did not ask anyone about the breeder, she has never even said who the breeder was.

When you are looking, AND have NEVER owned a dog or puppy in your life, most people would be asking people about the breeders they are looking at.

The advice she has gotten way before she picked a pup was very useful and yet she has ignored everyone.

And then usually leaves the thread and starts another..

this whole thing reminds me of a girl who wants a doll to dress up - once the novelty wears off - the doll is discarded.....

What's going on in this situation probably happens all the time - not everyone is responsible with small breeds and there's no point in people being upset - Ths person sounds young and has her mind made up if this is all true

I have a feeling she just wants something 'cute' to dress up not realizing a tiny puppy needs ALOT of care.

IF this puppy survives a plane trip and survives being alone for such long periods which is doubtful :( I have a feeling the 'novelty' of this whole thing will wear off

I agree. Once it no longer just sleeps all day and starts to become a problem, the novelty will be gone and the puppy will be spending more and more hour confined to a crate.
