I think something we should all do is to check out a satellite view of our neighborhood, like through google map, Make it big enough to see the area that you can cover on foot within a couple hours. If you have family, give each one a different area to look so that you can surround your house with eyes. No sense sitting on a keyboard asking what to do while daylight is wasting. Have a map and a plan so you can search intelligently. Make up flyers now so you have them ready in an emergency, one set for each of your little ones. |
I'm so glad he was found and returned to you.:) |

I thank all of you for your kindness and i do give you all credit for the ideas of different ways to go about searching for a lost one, so i didn't have to ask when it was my time i had already been taught through others bad experinces with many not having the happy ending that i was so fortunate to have I was so tired after it was all over i was in bed by 8:15 with my little Yogi cuddled against my back and didn't wake up til 6:am which is sleeping in late for me LOL I thank God this morning that my little one is safe at home My hint to all of you that are new & haven't read the threads of Mary, Cookie and so many others that have lost their babies you should because it could be you next so be as prepared as possible with knowledge and i pray you never need to use it. :) |
Very very happy for you - I couldn't even imagine if Mr. Darcy went missing - we were in Toronto after flying back in from Florida, and we had to go in a store and lock him in the car and I was totally paranoid and went out to the car ahead of everyone else......saw his little face at the window, looking for me and it was the best thing ever!!:D |
I just saw this and was afraid to click on the thread. God please not another one. All the crazy feelings and the nonstop crying is HORRIBLE. I am so glad your baby is back with you. These yorkies are our babies. Who ever knows me understands that. Having a pre made flyer is a GREAT idea that Richard brought up. Everyone should design a flyer, with Picture and phone number and have it saved on your computer. That way if you ever need it, you just need to open it and click print. There have been so many little dogs missing. Hug your babies tight. Gen |
I too was afraid to open this thread....afraid another one of our lil ones was gone.... I am so happy for you and your lil guy, what terrior that had to be... what a happy ending....{{hugs}} |
I'm so glad Yogi is back to mommy! It's lucky your neighbor saw her... :) |

One night last summer, we were up late at night and i realized I hadn't seen Cricket for a while so I called him and when he didn't come I searched the house everywhere, no Cricket, My room mate searched the house and called his name... Still no Cricket. it was about 3 am and we went outside and started calling him and Cricket didn't show up.I got in my car and opened the windows driving slow and calling Cricket and my room mate went walking, we were making neighborhood dogs bark and that was waking up neighbors. We searched outside for a few hours. Finally I drove back home thinking I lost Cricket. I opened the front door and guess who greeted me ! He had to be hiding in the house somewhere , there was no way he could have got back in. We never did tell the neighbors where we found him LOL ...... just that we did find him. :) |
Oh so glad he was home they can just about send you into orbit sometimes Yogi has always been special to me and i thought i was gonna die |
Thank goodness he was found. I know what you must have been going through. Last year my little Heidi somehow or another got out the front door and down the steps when I was out with the others. I was just in front of the steps and will never know how she managed to get past me. Besides that she was almost blind. We live on 5+ acres and she managed to get all the way to the back side of the neighbors property. They had a fence post hole dug that was about 2 ft deep and she feel in it. it was about 3:30 in the morning when I was getting the dogs to go to bed and realized she was not in her bed. We hunted and hunted and my husband heard her barking from the hole and found her. If she had not fallen in that hole we would have never found her. God answered my prayers that night and let me have her for almost one more year. Betty I know you are so relieved and I am so relieved for you. These little babies are just like lightening and can get out without you seeing them. I have to be so careful with Elsy because she wants to bolt past us alot. Ann |
