How small is to small to breed (weight) Nay weighs in at 3pounds, she's a little over a year old.I don't know if it would be wise to breed her. Does anyone have any suggestions??? I don't want to put her in danger.

I am not sure but think it may be 4lbs? I'm sure others will tell you for definite. Personally I would rather the mother to be a lot bigger than that! Our Gypsy Rose is 10lbs and the way she is with her younger sis I realise she'd have probably made a lovely mother but too late.... she was spayed last summer!! (Couldn't have done it anyway as I'd have to keep the pups and we can't increase our little family at present...!!) Ana xxx

size I would not breed a 3 pounder and I have bred since the turn of the century!!!LOL...heck I stay away from 4 pounders. Claire is 4 3/4 now and did just fine, but her 6 pound mom needed a c-section one time..go figure.
