So how much does your groomer charge? 1 Attachment(s) I took Axel today for a mini groom he just got cleaned up around his face and got the hair pulled out of his ears, did his nails and trimmed him up where ever he needed and of course a bath. They charge 20.00 for a mini groom and 30.00 for a full groom. I can't even do his nails so this is great for me. They put a bandana on his neck, he can' have a bow cause his hair is still to thin on his head. I just wondered what everone pays out there, this was his second trip, I found a groomer 6 miles from my house, I dropped him off went to wallyworld dropped off my groceries and he was all ready. I can't beleive his color's on his face he is so cute, see his picture. |
I pay 45 for a full groom! |
I pay 40 for a full groom. I wouldn't pay anymore than that. 30 is cheap for a full groom, in my opinion. Right now i am in the process of finding a new groomer so hopefully i can get off a little cheaper. =] |
By the way, Axel looks very cute after his groom. |
30.00 for a full groom and 10.00 for just a trim. |
Aww...Axel is so cute! I haven't taken Rucker in for his first groom yet. :) |
I pay $10.00 a week for a bath and brush and $35.00 for a full groom once a month or so. |
Harley gets what you listed as a "mini group" about every three weeks and I usually pay $30, $20 for service and a $10 tip. I have never had a full groom done on Harley so I'm not sure what she would charge. We tried two different groomers before this one and I would pay more if needed to stay where we are! Of course it is a small town, so I'm services here are cheaper than in some areas. Jeri and Harley |
My wife pays $40 for Maxine for a groom Plus Tip. (My wife gives her a bath prior to taking her to the groomer so she does not have to stay at the groomers as long and less stress for her). I pay $30 for my 125 Pound Cane Corso! |
3 Attachment(s) Yes we are in a small town too! so I guess that why good prices here are couple more pictures, one is one of his tricks |
We pay $45 for a full groom, $28 for a mini and $6 for a nail trim. My girls love my groomer so much it's almost a pleasure to pay him. |
It was costing $44 for one. I started grooming myself when we got Maggie...it was just going to be too expensive. |
$100 for both dogs full groom including tip. We plan on every 3 months for the full groom at the groomers and we do the in between grooming. |
I pay $25.00 for the works. I needed two of my yorkies nails trimmed and couldn't get ahold of the groomer so I took them to the local vet which I have never been to. They charged me $20.00 just to trim their nails:eek: |
$15 for a mini. |

Axel is a little cutie pie:) |
I paid $40 today for Gabby's first grooming. This was for a mini cut, teeth brushed, nails clipped. |
I pay 78 for two dogs for full groom (so I guess almost 40 each), I haven;t taken them for a mini groom before. I also tip 20%. we go about every 6 weeks, I could go longer but Harley's hair grows faster and gets tangled more and I need to keep him short. |
Ugh - I pay $75 to $85 per dog which comes up to $200 per visit with two. Its so expensive I have learned to do it as best as I can on my own or when I bring them to my breeder for dogsitting (which is rare) I ask her to groom them and give her the cash. She never charges me for dogsitting so I give her a few hundred as a thank you. |

I live in Podunk, AL and the groomers here charge $40 for my mini schnauzer (haven't taken my yorkie puppy yet). That seems high to me for where we live, but it's the going rate. I wouldn't mind so much if I could find a groomer I liked, but I've tried all the ones in town and only felt lukewarm about them at best. My 17 week old puppy needs I guess a mini (shave ears, pluck hair inside, clean up around the 'business' parts), but I don't want to leave her and the groomer I use now only works weekdays and I work out of town so my schnauzer stays all day. No way I'm leaving the baby (yorkie) there all day. Thinking about trying Petsmart. Hoping I could just stay and wait for her for the little we need done. Opinions anyone on Petsmart groomers?? |
I have noticed that people on here take their pups pretty frequently to the groomer. Ella's last groom was back in October. I like for her to have a puppy cut during the warm month and longer hair during the winter. I couldn't imagine taking her once a month or even every 3 months. Ella's hair does grow slow though. =] |

I am thinking the same thing. Where one earth does a person live where it's that much for a full groom. I've never heard of paying more than 50 dollars, and that's w/ a tip! |

I have paid as low as $30 and as high as $40 for a full groom. Not including tip. I did run into a lady with a yorkie sporting the cutest puppy cut and she pays $25. I might check out her place next. |

Im lucky that I travel upstate so much, getting them groomed there isnt an issue for me... I dont think I could afford to groom them both here. |

$50 for full groom, plus tip. I like the way she cuts his hair though and he's becoming comfortable with her so it's worth it. He usually goes every 8-12 weeks, but in the winter we space it out more. For example, he was cut in mid-June for the summer (cut really short) and didn't go back to professional groomer until late October. I kept up in between. And he just got groomed for the first time since October just a few weeks ago in mid-January. He probably won't go back until April. |
