My puppy still looks like a puppy Khloe is my first yorkie. She was 5 months on Feb 6. I looks at other yorkies posted that are 5 months old and she still looks like a puppy and they look like dogs. I guess they are like people and mature at different times. I attached a pic (she is on the left, that is a friend that came to visit her) |
Photo too large...BRB...LOL and I meant..."look" not looks..geeeshhh..... here is the photo |

Kloe is beautiful!!!.....She just looks like she is small boned....what I mean by that is she is more "dainty"........What a sweety! I have one boy that is smaller boned, his leg feels like a pencil, and he's five years old....My other one is larger boned, his leg feels solid and larger, like a fat marker.......;) |
Hi. She looks like she should for being 5 months old. My little girl Cricket turned 5 months on the 5th. :) |
My Ginger (in my avatar) still looks like a puppy (at least I think so!) and she is 7 and a half months old... I think its because her facial hair is shorter. Anyway, I just think she is adorable... but then again, i AM bias! ;) |
3 Attachment(s) Oh she is such a cutie! She does look like a little dainty princess. I do things dogs can mature at different rates. The first pic is of Bentley at about 4 months, the second is Lexi at about 5 months, and the third Bentley again at about 5 months. |
She is darling! At five months I would think that she would have a lot of puppy in her - enjoy it, trust me it goes so quickly. |
shes adorable and looks fine for her age!:) |
She is a cutie. One of my girls is named Khloe too!! |
Ahhhhhhhh Your little girl is a sweet doll. Today is my sadie's 2nd birthday & she still looks like a puppy to me. I see so many beauties on here. Maybe some day I'll learn how to post pictures so I can share my little girl. |
She looks her age as do all puppies at 5 months - I've yet to see a 5 month old look like a grown yorkie so didn't understand your post ....but she's very cute ! |

this is a good program to size - 'PixResizer' is a great simple program - just set it to 400 pixels and it does the work for you _ CLICK where it says if your download doesn't work - CLICK HERE - cause there are other downloads and people can easily pick the wrong one on these sites Thank you for downloading PIXresizer from Download.com If you're new to computers -All you have to remember is WHERE you save your sized pictures - I normally make a new folder for any resized pics and save them there it does re-name too so you know it's a sized photo Its a ONE WINDOW program - I attached a screen shot for you to see what I really like is you can do batch sizing - (like up to 100 photos at once) but you need 2 folders to do that and I can help you if you need |

1 Attachment(s) My Laci is over a year now, I still think she looks like a puppy, but I have read alot of pups with a cottony coat keep thier puppy look!! Attachment 308057 she is the one in the dress!!:D |
Odie at 8 months has just had his first trim. He doesn't look like a puppy any more. Sigh!!! Hugs Shirl x x |
Maybe I'm alittle too anxious to cut her hair...lol...Thanks to those of you that posted your 5 month old babies. A lot of them I have seen looked older and alot more hair than she has. Just wanted to make sure her coat and such was maturing like it should. I feed her a mix of Blue Buffalo and Science Diet, both puppy small breed. (the breeder had her on that). I just worry so much about doing that "right" thing. |
AWWW all the pics are sooo cute! I am jealous because I would like one of my guys ears to stand...:( even though I will love them the same and they are just as adorable...just curious as to why their ears wont stand...but don't want to tape them...HAHA! :) |
Pixie is 6 months old, my avatar picture. I think your dog looks fine;) She is beautiful. |
I think your little girl is adorable... |
2 Attachment(s) Awww, she is so cute! I just took a pic of Dora today because she turned 5 months old, and I dug up an old one of Missy at 5 months. |
my manolo is a year and a half and still looks puppy like to me! :) |
We bred our dog and she had 5 puppies who lived. They all looked the same. We kept them 8 wonderful weeks. But like you said 1 day when checking them 1 looked different. She got cuter every day. The others looked older. She stayed more like that little puppy with big eyes and shorter nose. When we took them to give to new owners, we had discovered she was so much smaller than others. Check weight. Think she may be what we call a "Runt" of the litter. Have fun! Jessie & Poohbear |
Wow, isn't 5 puppies alot? That is amazing. |
I have one boy that is smaller boned, his leg feels like a pencil, and he's five years old....My other one is larger boned, his leg feels solid and larger, like a fat marker.......;)[/QUOTE] LOL!! I gave two just like yours, I never thought of them that way!! A pencil and a fat marker, that is funny, I like that!!! :D |

Looks not just like a puppy but one of those very cute ones as is Dora. I personally love that round face and eyes. This is my first Yorkie and am seeing different types. I just love this type. Maybe it is because Poohbear is sort of like that. She has a little of the Maltese in her and I thought that is what made her different but your little Manolo and Dora look simular to Poohbear. Except Pooh's ears do not fully stand up. The shorter her hair the higher her ears go. smile...(I still have not figured out the picture thing so I can put her picture up. I just love the pictures of all the little ones. They are all so sweet and precious. |
Yes, I think so. She actually had 7. 1 was born dead and one I nursed for a week before it passed. One could not learn how to suck. I would put a few drops of milk in my hand and he would lick it up...So strange but it worked. She showed no reason for it when she had her first physical check up. She grew to be one of the bigger puppies. I so enjoyed them and hated to let them go... Silly me cried like I was their mother. Oh well.... Dora and Poohbear look simular except her ears do not stand up. Her hair just grows so thick and silky and is so black. I keep her trimmed so tangles do not develop. It is also very wavey. Is Dora that way.? Jessie |
