Dead excited ,tonight Tia is sleeping with me! Tia is coming up for 2 in July and never spent the night in bed with me and I know so many of you do this however DH is away for the weekend (watching football)and I have moved the whole bedroom so she will be safe sleeping in mummys bed lol( bed against the wall so she don't fall off, shes so tiny) I hope he lets her stay in the bed hes one of these guys that say NO DOGS IN THE BEDROOM but he soon came round to that lol |
oh boy she will never stop! lol This is so cute, bc I have had a horrible cold all week and I have been taking naps and I bring Pixie in bed with me for naps. At night she goes in her crate right next to my bed. Well not anymore as of last night Pixe started whining grunting lol, when I put her in her crate and I said to my husband I am just gonna put her in bed with us and see how she does. She did fine she slept until 5 am and woke up to go to the bathroom. Then she went back to bed until 8 am so I guess I can't complain. When i put her in bed with me last night she was so excited jumping around like Omg I can't believe you really are gonna let me sleep here to night!! lol So Tia is going to love it and life will never be the same;) I actually have both dogs in bed with us at night and they cuddle together and sleep right in the middle. Have a wonderful sleepover, and cuddle all night.........:D they are so special!:p |
Awww, yay! I can't imagine sleeping without my Emmett. You are going to have a blast! The cuddles and kisses in the morning are the best. |
it sounds daft , its only 6.15 pm in the uk at the moment and I can't wait lol |
She is going to love it! Both my girls sleep with us every night. In the beginning hubby was not crazy about the idea of sleeping with a dog but things changed quickly....now he loves it! Yippie! He now refers to them as the babies. |
Piper has been sleeping in our bed since she was 6 months old. From the first night she has been a little angel. When we go to bed she snuggles down under the covers and she doesn't move or do I hear a peep out of her until I'm ready to get up. Even when it's time to start our morning she just lays in bed all lazy and sleepy eyed. She'll stay there until I pick her up to bring her outside. I think she would sleep all morning if you let her. |
We used to sleep with Bandit but when we got Nala we stopped...however, if DH is gone til late in the night I'll sleep with Bandit because I get scared (how 5 pounds will protect me, I don't know) and he stays in bed even after DH gets home:) |
I've had my little Rucker boy for a month now, and he has slept with me every night! He pretty much sleeps all night long. It's so much fun! Leslie and Rucker :aimeeyork |

Mine have always slept in the bed and I have never had any complaints. I never had to worry about either of them getting cold and I sleep really good. Muffin slept good and so does Kacee. Usually I have to get lazybones Kacee up, but sometimes she wakes me up instead with puppy kisses.:) |
Just wondering how small a dog would you let sleep in your bed with you. And would it make a difference if you were alone or with your spouse or whoever? I would really like to try it but there are two of us and Missy is only 2 pounds right now. Is that too small? Should we wait until she is bigger? |
I would go to bed early if I were you!:D |
She won't ever leave your bed now ;) |

Pretty darn cute!:) Kacee will sleep between the pillows sometimes and sometimes on them. She's regularly a cuddler, though. I can still remember the first night Muffin slept in the bed. I woke up the next morning and she was wrapped around the top of my head and it had not even caused me to wake up.:D |
Yay!!! Tia will not be leaving your bed you know :D I have a feeling she will be letting hubby know her plans to slumber there every night ;);) |
When I got Lucy, she was sleeping with me.. I got Teddy.. 2 in the bed... After that,When I decided to kept Mika, My BF Told me : NO WAY!!! no more dogs in the bed they take all the space! lol My dog sleep in their own bedroom.5 in a bed would be to much... But sometime We have a "sleep over" in the Bedroom!! lol Also, when my females are close to giving birth, they sleep with me in the bed. |
I convince hubby to let Gypsy sleep in bed with us before we got her. He was so cute, even in his sleep, he will feel around before he turns over to make sure no one is in the way. Now we have 3 dogs in bed with us. If we get another one, they will sleep there too. |
Just thought I would post the update on our sleepover. Well the excitement soon wore off after I couldn't sleep in fear of squashing her. As it happens she is just as much a fidget as me lol. So its back to sleeping BESIDE my bed instead of in it. Thats her not me.lol:D |
I have had ZZ 5 years and she used to not sleep in bed with me. I met my now boyfriend 2 years ago and he said "You don't let your own baby sleep with you?" Since then she is nestled right between us =) It changes everything, you are going to love it! |
I love snuggling with mine every night... |

Just a note: Sitting in a recliner in my house elicits a migratory response in my pets... so be forwarned! Attachment 307459 Sorry, I am an ugly sleeper so I blurred myself out!:D |

I laughed my head off at the cat. (he/she??) is stretched out to the max !! My cats are ALWAYS doing that and I have...quite a few cats and they all enjoy MY bed. When they all have their own. |
One would think you would come back and let us know how the big night went.:D |

Dh does not want a dog in the bed with him, but on the nights he falls asleep in his chair, i 'forget" to wake him up and Bonnie sneaks a little mama time in bed. She starts out under the bed, til I turn off the TV. Then she gets in her bed that is beside mine (with her heated up beanbag, all cozy). As soon as the alarm goes off, she is up in the bed with me and we hit the snooze button and snuggle. |

I was wondering how old your puppy is? How did you get him to sleep in your bed without there being any "accidents" |
Missy started sleeping with me when she first came home at 7.5 weeks of age and only weighed 1 lb 2 ozs. She curled up right in front of my face and stayed put the first night we tried, so I've let her do it ever since. I followed the same routine with Dora whom came home at almost 11 weeks of age and weighed 2 lbs. Both girls have always slept soundly through the night, they don't even wake up for a pee break. I have pushed my bed up against the wall and I filled the cracks between the wall and headboard with rolled up blankets. Then I put a big pillow below them to keep them from wandering to the foot of the bed. Works great for us. We totally enjoy it, and DH is jealous that the yorkie girls aren't on his side of the bed so that he can cuddle them :p |

Hello & Welcome to YorkieTalk. I usually start puppies sleeping in bed with us @ 8 wks old. I put them between the pillows and they will wake you up to go potty, they don't like to "go" where they sleep. If their forever family wants them bedtrained, I do it. Now, that means they are in the Queen size bed (surrounded by a line of extra pillows down on the floor) with the 2 of us, their momma (who will NOT allow them to wander away) and 3 other yorkies....on 400 ct sheets with a down comforter & fleece duvet! Maggie is under by her daddy, Jack is on top, Rocky is under me & Sunnie is under or on top of my pillow. It helps if you're a light sleeper when they are that young & it really is not as much fun as it sounds. |
