| Princess did that. I thought she just wanted to eat with us. So when we are eating, I make sure she has hers too. Her dry food, she will go over and take a bite or two, but, she wants to eat when we do.

i think it's normal for her to want you there. especially if you encourage her to eat vocally. when you're gone, she may not feel rewarded for eating. it could also be a pack thing...sharing her meal with you...

Gwen would only eat if I was sitting on the floor with her, but since we got Skippy she doesn't care where I am. All she wants is her food.

When Samson was a little younger he sometimes wouldn't eat unless I was standing there but it was mainly because he wanted to follow me around and play, so if I stood there and then walked away he would stop eating and follow me. He's now 7 months and will eat on his own though I think he eats more when I'm home with him rather than when he's home alone.

Reagan does this, I've never really worried about it. She eats in the kitchen though so when I'm fixing supper or cleaning in there she'll start eating, so she does find a time to eat. She's started eating by herself more too. We'll be in the other room and hear her crunching away. Maybe you can put her food down on the bathroom floor(if there's enough room)and let her eat while you are getting ready in the morning? Try and feed her at times where you will be in one room for a little while (bath time supper time etc.) and feed her in the room that you are in??

Don't feel bad. None of mine would eat, at least most of the time, unless I was there. They're babies. In fact, I used to have a very picky chihuahua that would only eat one bite at a time as I placed it on top of a toy that she had to eat it off of. Sometimes she would take a bite, place it on the toy, and then eat it! It was just her way! She wasn't skinny, either! The things we do for these babies of ours...

Zoe eats in the morning and just befor we go to bed...(now she eats all the time because of the puppies) although sometimes we do have to hand feed her but I think its because she needs the extra attention....

I don’t think Yorkies like to eat alone. At least I have yet to have one that would. Why not try to put the food in the bathroom and she can eat while you shower. Sue
