3 Attachment(s) Thanks so much to everyone for the sweet comments on Sophie, the little half-rat, half-old-man Yorkie! :-) I decided to keep her a little shorter because she's a really active dog and loves rough-housing with other dogs and exploring outside. After exploring the videos and photos, I got out the safety scissors (afraid I'd poke her eye out!) and had a go at it... Here are the results. Not outstanding, but entirely passable. The other dogs won't laugh at her when we pass them on walks, lol. I trimmed round her face, got rid of the "feathers" on her legs, and shortened her torso on the bottom length only so it looks less scraggly. I'm calling it the Bowl Cut. :D Hopefully her hair will thicken up a bit as she gets older and we can try out some of the gorgeous haircuts your furbabies have! |

Maybe a link of loose french braids then... |
I agree that she is adorable. As someone else suggested, you may try cutting her beard shorter. I just took Li in for grooming and she came out looking great but after a few days, I realized I wanted her beard shorter so I cut it myself. That is her in my avatar from just the other day. Your baby is cute! |
1 Attachment(s) I decided to just attach the picture here, it's easier that way. Please excuse the picture quality (I took it on my phone) and her hair is messy - I hadn't brushed her yet. :) |

I think she looks great. :) That cut is kind of how I've been keeping Thor. Like most people here, I got tired of the groomer doing something I didn't want, so I started grooming him myself. I think when I get all his facial hair to the right length, I'll take him in for a touch up on the body. |
I now give my little guy a puppy cut and I get lots of compliments! |
