Checking to see if there was an update.
I emailed the station to see if there was ANY news. I am afraid that this may be viewed as "just a dog" and we will never hear more.

That happened here too. A family was told they had to many dogs and had to get rid of one. It was on tv and the radio then died off and I contacted the station who carried the story and never heard back. I still don't know if they had to get rid of one of their three Yorkies. One was special needs.

Poor pup. I think this is one of those situations where you don't really know what you would do until you are there. With a gun in your face you just never know.

We also have CHL's. I think my neighborhood is nice, but I still "carry" when I walk Buster and Maggie. I have had people in cars try to stop me while I have been out running and once they see where my hand is going, they drive off. I would not hesitate to use deadly force if someone was threatening me and trying to steal them.

No update on Zen. It would be great if everyone emailed the tv station to see what is going on. PLEASE do that!! I want them to do that Zen is more than "just a dog."

This Is A Wonderful Idea!!!!
Not Only Does The Station Need To Be Flooded With Calls & E-mails, So Does The Police Station. Get E-Mails & Phone #'S If Someone Can & Post Them Here & I Assure You They Will Hear From Plenty Of People. If We Make It Hard Enough On That Police Dept. With Phone Calls & E-Mails They Will Start Pushing Those Guys With Some Pretty Harsh Sentences & Maybe They Will Decide If They Can Get A Lesser Sentence They Will Talk!! I will Help Too. Let Me Know The Name Of The Police Station & TV Station, If You Know & I Will Call & Start Getting Phone #'s & E-Mails Addresses!!!!

Neither Would I!!!! My Little Fancy Is A Yorkie Rescue & She Went Through 3yrs. Of Hard Treatment. I Made A Vow When I Adopted Her & Learned The Story Behind Her That No One Will Ever Miss Treat Her Again. Like I Said When I Walk My 9MM Talks & I Am A Dead Shot!!!! :mad: :eek: :p

This is so sad and it makes me furious. My husband and I were walking Daisy and Teddy recently at the park and when we walked by the only other car that was there we heard a guy ask his girl friend if she wanted a dog. He was staring at us and our dogs walking by as he said it. I think he was dead serious when he said it. We went directly to our car and left. It scared me half to death that he was going to come after our babies. It's a sick world out there. What a shame it has to be like this.

I Guarantee You Where I Carry My Gun He Would Not Know It Was There. While he was Trying To Snatch My Dog I'd Put A Whole In Him You Could Run The Mississippi River Through. I Have Been Faced With A Gun To My Head & My Way Worked Then & I Believe It Still Would. They Don't Expect Ordinary People To Be Armed. It Makes A Big Difference When They Find Out They Are.
I Walk Softly, Carry A Big Stick & I Believe In An Equalizer!!!! I Am Also A Christian, But That Don't Make Me A Push Over For Thugs. :thumbup::)

If He Had Known You Were Armed, He Would Have Thought Twice About Wanting A Dog. He Would Have Known You Were Just As Serious About Him Not Getting One As He Was Serious When He Said It. I Am Afraid This Is Gonna Become A Growing Thing With Thugs Because They Can Always Sell The Yorkies. My Son-In-Law Carrys His Gun Everywhere Strapped In A Chest Holder!! He Is The Sgt. My husband and I are getting closer and closer to getting a gun and taking a class so we can carry it. We actually looked at guns once and didn't know what kind to get so we left. Any suggestions?

Unfornately it's the way things are these days, criminals have more rights than victims. I'm very sorry to say that I don't hold out much hope for little Zen.:( Creeps like these have swinging bricks instead of hearts.

Fingers crossed and praying for a miracle.

IMO they should not have had a problem. It was a brother and sister living in one house. One had one dog the other had two, as an individual they legally could own two dogs. But the neighbors complained because they barked at their cat. One dog was blind and the other two helped it get around. These were small yorkies too 5 pounds or so. When the people came to the door to respond to the complaint the brother and sister were told they were over the limit and one dog had to go. They counted the brother and sister as a single family over the limit instead of individuals sharing a house under or at the limit. Last I heard they went to court ready to fight only to be told that wasn't what they were there for, that day they were only there to get a court date for later. Then it wasn't talked about again, I e-mailed the person who reported the story to get an update or verdict and got no response.

Contacting someone in Atlanta might surprise them. They probably don't think anyone outside the local area is aware of this story.
