Were you trying to bring your dog in just in your arms? I NEVER bring coco anywhere unless she is in her bag. I don't see why people would just carry their dogs into places in their arms. I let her stick her head out the bag but thats its. Most of the time they don't even know she is in there. So we don't get kicked out of anyplaces. We did get kicked out of Target before. The very upscale stores really don't care if you have a dog. We go to Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and places like that and no one says a thing. For some reason its the cheap stores that care. Its just my opinion but I don't like to see dogs carried in peoples arms in stores especially if there is food around. |
I took Asia to the flea market here in Tallahassee. They have "No Pets" signs all over the place. I carried her out in the open and got a lot of oohs and aahs. When I went to leave I stopped to talk to a friend with a booth there. One of the maintnace guys just said to me "I hope you were carrying her" I told him I was and he said O.K. I just didn't tell him it was because I didn't want her to get stepped on. Asia is to big for a bag or purse. |
I so don't understand why they don't let little dogs in to places. Tucker has a Service Dog patch so they have to let him in. I ALWAYS get a big kick out of it when someone says (usually very snotty) "You can't bring that dog in here" and I say "Service Dog". It shuts them right up! I love it! |
I take Gus everywhere with me. He is always in his bag though. I was asked to leave Walmart by a new worker, (who was quite rude I might add) I told her that I've been bringing Gus in for the last past year. And never was turned away,,,, She didn't care, so I asked for the manager, (who I knew) and he said it was fine as long as he was in the bag. and just this last Friday while shopping for b-day gifts for Cherish, I had a lady who was behind of me in line at Target who had a baby that was in badly need of diaper changing! Who was outraged that I had the nerve to bring Gus in a plublic place. And was speaking her mind out loud. The lady in front of me just looked at me and rolled her eyes. We both made it a point to speak loud enough for her to hear that the godawful smell that was lurking around was not coming from Gus,,, and people should take care of thier own before talking sh** about others. We also pointed out that they do have changing tables in the rest rooms. I guess she wasn't too happy because she went to go snitch on me. The manager came up to me and said as long as I didn't take him near the cafe and he stays in the bag it was ok. But to maybe leave him home next time coming in, Then when the lady walked away, he told me where I can find a doggy bag that better hides a pet with pleanty of ventilation. He too has a furbaby that his wife takes every where. |
