Anyone with a girl and boy only out there? Just interested to know if having a little girl first then having a little boy wether that works? :)Or should I stick to 2 girls? |
I have 3 boys & 3 girls. They all get along great. It depends on the temperament of your girl. Does she get along well with other dogs? |
I think boy/girl pairings are great and usually work out best! |
Ramsey was a year old when we got Reese. No problems. We have now added two more boys and another girl. Everyone gets along great. |
Ruby was here 1-1/2 years before I got Reno. Although, she wasn't crazy about him at first, she loves him now. It's like they stick together and then Scout and Louis (dh's papillon and poodle) are best buddies. I tell my dh we have yorkie snobs.:D |

Lola was 14 months when we got Zach who is 1 year old. Lola's personality is very playful, energetic friendly girl. Zach has been here almost 1 month now and they are BEST FRIENDS. They do everything together and are always together. Lola didn't show any signs of aggression or anything towards him, she wasn't even jealous of me holding him and cuddling him from day 1. Best match I could of ever got I think! go for it ;) |
I have a girl and a boy Ive had for 5 yrs. They have never gotten into a fight. They may play growl or whatever but they have never fought. I will always have a girl and a boy |

I have a boy and a girl. The boy was here first and was extremely bossy. When we got Sissy she was 6 months old (he was 15 mo). She was very shy and scared but things changed;) as the months went by and now she rules. |

I believe that age gap is fine. Gizmo was about a year and a half when we got Kandi. You do have to watch them carefully at first, and it does take a while. We had our moments at first when they were getting used to each other, but it got steadily better over time. I just don't want you to think that they were best buddies the next day, because that's not what happens. Gizmo spent a lot of time at first pouting in his tent. |
And me, Alfie was 10 months when we got Rosie, her nerves dissappeared after about two days and they've been best friends since, they endlessly play together and find trouble together. The only difference is Alfie wont sleep upstairs and Rosie loves a cuddle on the bed. |
