Here are some pictures of my old Mollie (RIP) To me, she was an usual colored dog (more so in the last 2 pictures... maybe because her face hair was so much lighter...??)

She was absolutely beautiful and just a little doll! :p I sorta think Kacee's coloring is going to be like that in her face. It's all new to me since Muffin was black and tan. :confused: Kacee's back is turning silver. I do like the colors, though. It's just different than what I am used to looking at. :)

I think what's most confusing is that when you register a litter of puppies, the AKC asks what color they are. When Yorkies are born (or at least all of the pups I've ever had), they are black and tan. (I've had people say "Oh look....little baby Rotweilers!!" :lol tears ) Then, by the time they're old enough to sell, they've changed colors. My male is blue and gold, my females are both black and tan by registration standards. Most of the puppies remain black/tan, but some of them are silver/tan, or grey (?) and tan. Just about everyone on here says their Yorkies change colors by the time they're a year old. So.....why does the AKC make you register them by a certain color, when chances are that they will change??

Tan is lighter than the gold. Tan is a light creamy color where the gold is like an amber color. My dogs one has a tan face and one has the gold face.

Ok now, that makes sense. I was thinking that Rowdy's papers said he was blue and gold (his face is very light), but I just looked at them and he is blue and tan. That makes more sense - here's my little blue and tan guy!

I dont know he looks like a blue and gold to me. He has gold on his snout. Thats how Jewels is the top of her head is the lighter tan but on her face she has the gold. I consider her and blue and gold.

The hair on the top of his head is very very light, but the hair on his snout and coming off to form his beard, is very golden??? :confused: It doesn't really matter though! :p

The reg on my two say Blue and Gold . But they are over a year and they look Black and gold to me.

Tan is paler than gold .

Sammi looks Blue & Tan, same as my Lily.
Blue & Gold is not rare. I'll attach a pic of my Woody he is Gold &
a pic of Lily she is Tan.
You can see the difference

OMG! I didn't know I could be so confused. :D

Then Muffin must have been black and gold and Kacee must be blue and tan! :confused: Kacee is the one in the sweater. Her back is turning a silver.
