Since the dogs are 8 months old, they should have Vet. reference. Ask the lady for the name and number of the Vet. I would also travel there to actually see that puppy if the Vet. reference checks out. If you don't see the home and the pups in person, then it's buyer beware. |

This is just me, but I would be really really cautious. It doesnt matter if she is a nurse with kids and a nice house. People in all situations need money right now. I was told that people "selling puppies that were a gift.... or selling puppies for a friend who had the litter" is a huge red flag that the puppies are from a puppymill kind of situation. I would never buy a puppy without seeing the parents. I am also super over cautious...... Also, I don't know where you live, but I know that in some places it is ILLEGAL to sell a puppy without a breeding license, so beware of that. And 8 months old is a little old to be selling the puppies anyways. The whole situation just seems a little fishy to me. How do you know this woman? If the puppies are in perfect health and you take them to a vet and get a WRITTEN HEALTH GUARANTEE from the woman, then I guess what matters most is that the puppies are healthy. If you feel comfortable then that is great and it is your decision, but I think the whole thing sounds a little weird. |

Both my yorkies have their papers and come from good lines and stuff, but they are both fixed and they are both PETS. To me, there is no need for papers unless you are breeding or showing them. I have never registered or even sent in my pups papers. Whats the point? |
haha- sorry...... 3rd post in a row. The more I think about it you would be rescuing the yorkies...... I would get them if you can get a written health guarantee. :) Goodluck! |

I don't know what you see that is so fishy about this? I bought my Lola in August, she was 10 months old at the time and on her 3rd home. This lady had bought her a WEEK prior as a birthday gift to her self and realized that she was more work then she had expected. She was just selling her for the cost of vets fees for shots, etc. And I think it DOES matter where the dog comes from and if they take care of their home. If you go to someones house and it's a huge mess, your first impression is that they are not people who take care of themselves, higher chances they don't take care of their dogs. |

I just want to say that not all vets in the Houston area are "scammers". It seems that vets are in the selling business much like hairdressers when you get your hair cut. The hairdressers want you to buy shampoo, conditioner, etc. The vets want to sell you the toothpaste they have or the chew sticks, etc. I have taken my two to the vet when they were vomiting and had diarrhea and the vet wanted to give them fluids when maybe they really did not need it. But since he is the vet, he knows better (I hope). You always have the right to decline the treatment if you feel it is not necessary. Some vets office calls are higher than others. If you go the vet thinking they are all scammers you probably won't find you one like or trust. Sometimes the vet cannot tell you what is wrong with your animal but some doctors can't make a diagnosis either. I do spend a lot of money at the vet but most of it is my choice. I would rather take them to the vet than to wonder later if they are suffering. If you get a Yorkie, you will need to find a vet you like and trust. |
i got her!! i got a 24 hours puppy guarantee took her to the vet today had all kinds of tests run on her all negative shes healthy that lady has 3 acres home im sure she doesnt need 300$ that was just the vet fee/expenses she paid on her and she wanted to make sure she goes to a good home that can afford her. the little kids and her teen son were crying when she gave her to me a good sign that they care she even called to make sure shes ok. i just think they dont have time for 2 yorkies they r keeping the brother. wherever that little pup came from she might have ended up in a shelter or in a bad home... i got all her vet records now 1-i need a name for her any suggestions? 2- need insurance recommendations |

First and formost, congrats on your new addition. A new Yorkie, regardless of the circumstances, is reason for celebration. On a side note, I'm just curious. Your posts upon joining YT were quite controversial given the very serious allegations you were making towards certain members here. During that time, several issues were brought up regarding your multiple aliases on various sites and the discrepencies in your story regarding your previous dog that kept changing. I am just curious as to if you ever plan to address those or offer an explanation, or if you just hope that people will overlook them and forget about all of that? I'm sorry, but given the fact that your story seemed to change to fuel some serious allegations you made against this breeder/member, it seems only fair. They were brought up and you quit posting for a while, but now it seems you are active here again. So I'm wondering if you ever plan to explain given the damage you inflicted. |

But, if the fact that once you posted this person went offline, I don't think there will be any answers to the questions/request you made of her/him. |

I totally understand what you are saying.... but a lot of people sell puppise for the wrong reason and when someone is selling a puppy "for someone else" I have been told it is a big red flag because some puppy mills will sell puppies to other people to sell for them to make it look more legit. I am just a super cautious person when it comes to my pets. I am not saying that I would never buy her, I am just saying to be careful and check out the situatiion carefully. A healthy puppy is the most important thing. I am just really cautious.... thats all :) |
