From what I understand, she was a Christmas present and her owners can't put the time and effort into a puppy right now. I'm really interested, but I need to sleep on it....

How sad...brand new puppy and they have already given up on her. :(

I say go for it...she's a doll!!!! :D

I'm guessing they got her too young. She is suppose to be 10 weeks old now and weighs 1.5 pounds. She is at a rescue place now.

Oh my she is just 10 weeks old. Judy you have got to save her, she is so adorable. She would have only been 6 or 7 weeks at christmas. :eek:

I KNOW! I'm talking to the rescue people, but if I don't get her, I hope someone on here will! They said she was 2 1/2 months. Should be around 5 pounds grown. DH and I are discussing it...of course my children thinks I'm nuts. :D

My children thought I was nuts when I wanted my Wally. Now they are totally in love!!!

Aw poor baby!! She's adorable. How could they just give up? I just don't get it. Hope they never have children. They aren't disposable either!!

Thanks everyone for the support. I do want her. I have submitted the application, but I didn't hear anything back tonight. My biggest concern is with my schnauzer, Fancy. She is getting old and sickly. She is great with Rily and Saydee, but I don't want to give her too much stress and push her over the edge. And then there is the potty training issue.....I wish it were summer time so I would be home to help DH work on that. Saydee is doing better, but not even close to 100%. :eek:

Thanks again for the encouraging comments. I still haven't fully decided what to do. They accepted my application, but others are interested in her too, of course. If I get her, I need to make a deposit today so they won't show her tomorrow. I do want another yorkie and I feel that maybe I should rescue one this time, but there again, the timing for this one might not be right. I had decided to wait until next summer before I found this little girl on petfinder. So, I'm still trying to make a decision. I'll let you all know how it turns out...:confused:

Sometimes the pups find you instead of the other way around! We hadn't planned to get a 2nd pup at all but were in the right place at the right time and Daisy almost just fell into our lap! Now we love her, of course, and couldn't imagine life without her. It might just be mean to be...;)
