what an adorable pic...and what a pair!! it sure looks to me like sumo is gearing up to be a forever big brother!!

i know what you mean about having a lot to learn about these little ones. i always had big dogs before lulu and yes, there are lots of differences! good news is....you've definitely come to the right place. i've spent hours upon hours reading the information here. the benefit has been immeasurable already.

my suggestion would just be to dig around a bit...if you read up in the general, health, and sick sections.....you'll be surprised at how many other people have had similar questions!

Disco and Sumo are adorable! Are you sure???? :D They look like they could be best buds in no time! ;)

What a great picture :) I think in a matter of time Sumo will become use to Disco. Your husband relly loves Disco, and I think Disco would be a perfect addiction to your family.
Disco is adorable. He really does not look like a mix to me. If you can't keep him, I am certain that someone on YT will be very interested in adopting such a sweet baby.

I never knew what the eagle was before....lol... and now I find myself doing it. I can spot a "I have go pee/poop look" a mile away...lol....and when they do it I bring them over to the peepad and say "go pee" and they always do....=)

Both of the dogs in your picture are gorgeous. Awe, and the little yorkie looks so scared and sad.

I read that and thought, "yep - they are addictions!" We have had Jack for 4 1/2 months now and are looking for a sister for him now. :eek: They (yorkies) are definitely addictive.:D

Absolutely love the picture of Sumo and Disco!

I can just picture the bond brewing there...but, IF you are just not up to the task of Yorkiehood than may I suggest contacting YTNR (Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue) at Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop and consider surrendering this lil' sprout?

I am a foster mom for this rescue group and I know this lil' preciousness will be well cared for and carefully placed in an adoptive (furever!) home. I've adopted two Yorkies (Abby & Phoebe) through this rescue group and they are very careful in who they adopt to! I almost think it was easier to qualify for a loan...lol!:D

Thank you all VERY much for your responses. We may have found a home for Disco. Also, I took her to the vet for vaccinated. The vet mentioned that she has some kind of patellar dislocation on her left knee that will cause arthritis later and surgery down the road. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

The picture is priceless. What a beautiful dane and a cute yorkie. LP in yorkies in unfortunatley too common. Surgery is usually needed if the grade is 2 or above,. I do have one with grade 4 and at almost 5 as done fine without surgery but we have been lucky.

just have to ask why would you wake a dog up in the middle of the nite? I have had my pup from 8 weeks and he never once got up in the middle of the nite, he has never wet his bed either...I'm I just lucky?

OMG both are absolutely beautiful! I think you should keep little Disco! You can tell already in that photo that Sumo wants to be friends with the little girl! She is just precious!
