That is so sad! :( I don't understand how anyone could do that either.

The worst part is that they are rehoming him because they cannot afford to keep him, not because the new dog doesn't get along with him. Well.. if you couldn't afford your first dog why did you get another!? :mad:

That is so sad! But unfortunately not very rare.

Diva is 4 years old and I cannot even think about what life would be like without her. There's no way in H-ll, I would ever let her go.

Sadly many, many people treat animals like they are disposable. They love them when they are new, but when ever something new comes along, they don't have time for them anymore. Craigslist, on a daily basis, has pets that are over 3 years old that are being "rehomed" for crazy, selfish reasons.

As a teacher for 16 years, I can also tell you that many people really do treat their kids the same way. They love them as a newborn, but as soon as the newness wears off, they barely take care of them. I see examples of this every day.

It's a sad world for lots of kids and pets.

trerrible sad, i have my old man at 12 and my little girl at 3 and my little boy at 1, i wud never ever think off parting with any off them, well maybe he will find a better home and be spoilt rotten.:animal-pa

I read the ad and it just seems so blunt and cold.
The reason is because I can no longer afford him because we got another dog...

I guess the "newness" of the first dog has worn off and the new puppy is just so cute and shiny... my guess , once his newness wears off he too will be out to make room for yet another pet they can't afford ....I really don't understand some people. :(

They shouldn't add another furbaby if they can't take care of the 1st one. Some people only likes puppies because they are tiny and so called "puppies are cuter than dogs", once they grow up, they wouldn't want to keep them... I'm so sick of this kind of people, they don't deserved to have any furbabies!!

Ugh, I've seen those ads before.... They should be ashamed to be so cruel. Any animal they have would be better off without them, honestly they don't deserve to have animals....

That person should NOT have any pets! I would never be able to do that to my Carmel...he is my teddy bear. I was thinking of rehoming the second one only because they didn't get along at first but they are great now. Plus, I didn't want to give up so easily...or else I shouldn't have pets too!
