Well i can't think of WHAT Layla smells like (although one day she did smell like Suzy's Milli- so odd). BUT She does change smells. I LOVE the way she smells when she first wakes up- no idea what it is- but luckily she is SO cuddly i just hold her and sniff it in :) She smells different when she has come in from a walk, or the cold. Today she smells like Thai food- odd....... I am not sure what Fritos smell like but I might have to go get a bag just so i can smell them! |
Bella Mia always smells pretty..not exactly sure if it is perfume/cologne mix from Shaun and I or what??? Sherman Tank-smells like I imagine a TANK would smell...he is certainly a frito feet smelling dog but he also is getting over "stinky ears"...so the combination of frito feet, stinky ears and vet solutions ear rinse makes for a strange smelling puppy:D |
OMGish I love the Maddie smells in the morning too. That warm puppy smell...mmmmm. Cooper is not doing to well with her crate training so she usually smells like...pee:rolleyes: It is weird, even after a bath with the same products, they smell totally different. |

Brewster is my "Chili Powder Grunty Boy". :) Everytime I got to pick him up, he grunts. (so cute) AND he always smells like the McCormick Chili Powder in my cabinet. lol :D I havent figured out the other 2 scents. |
Fun thread:p Mine both smell sweet, like vanilla, oatmeal, with a hint of fruity or floral, a touch of woodsy and a dash of frito:) hehe Wish I could bottle them up. I am guessing it is a mix of what I am cooking, and what products I use on them and me. I hate it when a smoker pets them because they smell like smoke all day. |
What a fun thread. :) My Lily has a few smells. Usually she smells fresh and a little fruity four or five days after her bath. I wash her every other week. When the shampoo-smell has faded, she smells almost nothing. A couple of days before her next bath her fur gets a little oily and the smell changes to spicy. Not really smelly, only a faint smell. I keep Lilys fur cut pretty short, and it's very easy to maintain. |
Smell like poo I don't know about "good smell", I'm still using Biogroom puppy shampoo although Sugar is already 11 months old! Because it's "tearless" ;) The scent of the shampoo doesn't last longer than 1 day, so...sometimes Sugar smells like poo :p...because she's too careless, step on her own poo! That's the most headache part!! |

LOL :D....let's see...new additions --> we have... Thai food, a tank, warm puppy, popcorn, barbecue sauce, McCormick Chili Powder, vanilla/oatmeal/woodsy/frito, fruity or spicy, Biogroom...and sometimes, of course, poo (we've ALL been THERE and all sometimes continue to be :rolleyes:...) FUNNY. |

My sister was visiting this week and saw me snuggling Sophie and smelling her fur. (Sophie gets a bath every weekend and then sprayed with natural, great smelling grooming spray each morning when I brush her.) I held Sophie out to my sister and said, "Smell her! Doesn't she smell great?" My sister took one sniff, wrinkled her nose, and said, "Uggh, she smells like dog." I guess it takes a mother's love to find her furbaby's scent irresistible. :love: |
We call that smell "Frito Feet". His little digits smell like an empty bag of Fritos! It is amazing to me the smells that you put up with, from your doggy...hahahaha (breath also gets a little ripe)! Buddy has a bit of a pee smell from time to time, as well. Thanks to this forum, we learned about the sanitary cut. Now we don't have to give him a bath once a week! |
Maple Syrup For the first few weeks after we got Winston he smelled like maple syrup. I remember asking friends if dogs were supposed to smell like that. Now I notice he only smells like that if he's been running outside on a cool crisp day. He does smell like Fritos sometimes. |

My Augie smells like a corn chip but at night I put an herbal heating pad into his crate and in the morning he smells like cinammon rolls. I just want to eat this little guy up sometimes :aimeeyork |
All my girls have frito feet lol, but Shayna still have that puppy smell that drive me crazy, I just want to kiss her and kiss her, I don't think they can't keep that puppy smell for so long, but she does smell like that, that is the only thing I can describe her smell:rolleyes: |
Ella's body always smells clean b/c she gets a bath once a week. Sometimes though her face smells a bit like Doritos. It's odd. Randomly she'll get a spritz of whatever Bath & Body Works spray i'm using that day, but she hates that. =] |
I can't put a label on what Gunnar smells like, but I like it! We cuddle a little bit every day and I soak it in. I read somewhere that frito feet is from a non-harmful bacteria. :p Donna |
Hutch always smelled fresh, even when it was time for a bath. I would love to be able to smell his doggie smell again - he passed on December 10, 2009. :( |

Sophie always smells like pretzels. No matter what...when I give her a bath I use an organic cherry puppy shampoo and she still smells like a pretzel. Either that or dirty socks. She loves my dad's work socks and the smell horrible and she just carried is around the house and rolls around in them.. |
Why am I not surprised that Ann started this thread? :rolleyes: Jimi smells fresh like cotton. :) I think it is just his shampoo. |
