Well, after a lazy morning start, having coffee in bed & watching TV, you have me sniffing all 4 furgirls, and I can't really describe how they smell just now. I guess it's just pleasantly clean but not perfumey. It has been 4 days since their bath. What I love the most is the first few days after their weekly bath and favorite conditioner PET SILK, Rainforest scent. It is soooooo yummy smelling, I'm constantly cuddling and sniffing them, and it is so pleasant when they are all sleeping on my pillow. Irresistable, ahhhhh! |
Sophie really likes her doggie toothpaste, and she likes to lick it off my finger when we're done cleaning her teeth each day so her breath always smells minty:D |
Ellie smells like, I dunno, I can't describe it. Maybe a very faint shampoo smell... If we make pancakes or something, she takes on a smell from that.:rolleyes: Then her ears have a yeast smell to them (although they are usually pretty clean) and I like it.;) Then her feet smell like, hmmm, Fritos and something else mixed. They smell pretty dirty usually. The hair by her mouth smells like Vanilla-Mint toothpaste. |

Mine get a bath every other week and brushed and freshened with conditioner daily so generally they smell nice, however, and that's a big however, they also smell like bully sticks (LOL) since they carry them all over everyday. YUK. Elaine |
I just finished cuddling Tila before coming on here and was telling everyone to smell her, because she smells kinda chocolately coffee-ish. lol. Smells yummy. |

She smells like "Unconditional Love" perfume (and, a touch of Aquolina's "Pink Sugar", which I added later!) & cream by Philosophy, b/c she snuggles w/me all day and this is what *I* smell like! I call what Uni smells like "cutey baby smell", and when she stinks, it's "cutey baby stink". Either way I like to sniff her. :) |
I always think that Finnigan smells like chicken broth. Gwenni still has that puppy smell to her every once in awhile, but mostly smells like baby powder from her shampoo. |
Mine smell like "Pink" from Victoria's secret , they cuddle so much with me that the smell is always on them :) Then sometimes they will smell like cheetos if the boys cuddle them with cheeto hands :rolleyes: |

Rio smells like her shampoo after a bath, but between baths, my husband and I say she smells like a sock! But not a smelly stinky sock, but a worn but clean sock (if that makes sense!). Like you all, I just LOOOOOOVVVEEEE how she smells and she never has that smelly "dog" smell. At her puppy class the other day, we were petting some Cocker Spaniels and realized how much they smelled like dog. So grateful for our Rio's sock smell! LOL! :D |

I think my group was a little worried about me last night when I picked them up one by one and buried my face in their necks and took deeeeep breaths. I wanted to be sure I had the smells right for each one. :p Murphy has a baby clean smell. It's not like baby powder or baby shampoo, but I immediately thought 'baby.' Chelsea always has a pretty scent to her, almost floral, even when mom's a little late giving her her bath. Tate smelled like cheese. He just loves the Himalayan chews that are made of cheese. Since cheese is my #1 favorite food (well, and chocolate), I LOOOOVVVE the way my Tater smells. :D Jordy smelled like snow. He loves to be outside and I think he just brings the fresh outdoors scent in with him. Maddox smelled...well, like a puppy who'd been into something he shouldn't have been. Maddox had a quick bath after momma's sniffing test last night. :rolleyes: Alexander said he was too old to be sniffed, but I managed to sneak it in. ;) He smells like home. I don't know how to describe the smell, but it made me think of cuddling up to him on cozy weekend mornings, or napping together on the couch. |

Mine smell heavenly after their baths. But a few days later they smell like tobacco from my husband petting them. Sissy occasionally smells disgusting because she likes to roll in worms after the rain. They both have Frito feet and Bubba has this other horrible smell that occasionally sneaks out from under his tail:rolleyes:and clears the room |
Love this thread. I always smelled my yorkies, burried my nose in their fur and took a big inhale. For the two that are gone, I'm always starting to forget some of the sweet memories--but never how they smelled. Scent is probably the most indellible sense we have. So, for all us yorkie lovers out there--smell your dog today! you'll never forget. |
You guys have me chasing Kaji down to get a quick sniff! He's to busy right now trying to get a treat from my mom who is cooking in the kitchen. I'm bummed! He has "Kaji smell" on his face. It's a mix of kibble and only he knows what else. |
Scarlett smells like frito feet and day old baby...kind of that soupy/sweet baby smell. She is a love............ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh she just cleared the room with a yorkie fart. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWw her's are so strong. They smell like a meat addicted football player with party funk! GROSS!!! |

I wonder if maybe their hair is very absorvant because over the weekend my hubby and I had company over and all of a sudden my baby smelled like perfume even though no one in the house was wearing any. it was so weird, but at least he didn't stink. |

After a bath he smells like his doggy smell good. Miss Claybone. Lol although it's for girl pooches it's what my groomer uses and he stays snelling that way until the next bath. Usually his feet smell like tropical carpet fresh. If he's been snuggled all day he'll smell like my Dove soap which is what I use. He surely van clear a room with his silent deadly farts and then I don't want him around. He gets put on punishment until the room is back to normal. Lol |
My little Bailey smells like shampoo at times and then I can't describe what he smells like at other times but I can't smell him enough! He's my little baby and I sit there and smell him and kiss him!!! He's my wittle baby!!! |
