| Getting ready for a holiday travel.. So I have told you guys that I am taking my friend's yorkie to California from Boston for thanksgiving... I got the sherpa small carrier 16"L, 9.5"H, 10"W. It supposed to be $55, but I got it for $24 including shipping. Only thing is that it is without "washable faux lambskin liner." I was going to put some towels anyway.. so it's not too bad. Jetblue carrier restriction is Your pet must fit in a carrier that is smaller than 18"l x 15"w x 8"h and must be placed under the seat in front of you. * Carriers that are 17"l x 12.5"w x 8"h (43.18 cm L x 31.75 cm W x 20.32 cm H) may be purchased with cash, check or credit card at any JetBlue ticket counter for a nonrefundable fee of $20 USD. The height is a little bit bigger.. by 1.5" I hope it will be okay. He is about 8lb.. and carrier seems to be not small or big.. just fit. I hope he is okay with it or airline will approve me to have him in the carrier. I have put him in the carrier for an half yesterday. He was sleeping and snoring in there without crying at all. So he doesn't seem to mind. It will be a long flight to Oakland, CA, I hope we will be okay. I am less worried because.. Guinness seems to do well in the carrier. It is the first time for him to fly and for me to bring a dog to the plane... I hope he snores away the entire flight |

| Jetblue said that a dog has to be able to stand in the carrier.. I don't think that Guinness can.. in 9.5"H carrier.... He is about 9.5". Then... Sherpa says that the dog has to be 8" H for thie carrier.. but he might be 1.5" tall but his length is shorter than the max that they say. Max weight says 8lb.. and he is exactly 8lb. I really hope that he can be sleep on my lap for a bit.. since this is his first and also a long flight. |
