Please HELP!!!!! Missy's shaking and won't stop. Her heart is racing. Called the vet and said to watch her. If it last 20 minutes or more to bring her in. I was trying to teach her tricks and u think I gave her too much cheese. :(:(:( she's just laying down shaking and panting... |
GIve her something sweet. Karo or honey. NOW Is she over-heated? |
Ok, you've already spent at least 5 minutes calling the vet and posting this. If you're still truly concerned, get her in the car and go! Please let us know how she is. |

Lou, I gave her a bit of honey and brought her into a cool room. She stopped shaking and panting!! Thank you! What does this mean??? I'm going to take her to the vet to get checked out. Thank you all for your help. I'll let you know how it goes. |
Update! :) Missy's fine!! Back to her old self and sassy as ever! :) vet said it was too much cheese. :( it was hard on her digestive system. :( thank you guys for you good wishes and help!! |

Um......how much cheese is too much cheese and what kind of cheese was it? Please? Don't want to make the same mistake with Zena since I often give her cheese. Thanks! Also, glad to hear your baby is going to be ok. |

It was mild cheddar and I cut up about a 1/2 cup of little cubes. :( i realize now that it was way too much. I forget how tiny she is sometimes and what's a little bit for me is a whole lot for Missy. :( I feel like such a bad mommy!!! :( plus the doc said cheddar is not the best choice. :( :( |
Wow - yes, that's ALOT of cheese! I only give maybe 3-4 tiny little shreds, not even cubes. I am so, SO glad that Missy is OK. Our furbabies do have the same name after all. My Missy sends your Missy a hug. :) |

We all learned from this so thanks for sharing and don't keep beating yourself up over it! I forget how little London is to sometimes. Mostly because she has a Jack Russel terrier mix sister and a big brother that is a 120lb black lab and she thinks she is just as big as they are! They all got stockings for Christmas from PetSmart and they all got sick from the treats that were in them. So we learned that we'll never buy those again. |

Glad she's okay! If she doesn't have grain allergies, consider may Cherrios as a training reward, or something similar. |

Just seeing this now! Glad to hear she is doing ok now. Yes that was a lot of cheese. You have to remember their tummies are like the size of a golf ball. What i do if I give Uni cheese for training is string cheese, but not even full pull. tiny bits the size of a pencil eraser. |
I'm glad she is OK too. Good to know about the cheese though since mine seem to think it is their God-given right to have some whenever they hear the packaging crackle. LOL |

If it was up to her she would have ate more!!! :/ she learned sit, down, up, and almost had rollover down. Cheese was the only thing that got her interested in learning tricks. And did she not beg for more this morning when I was making breakfast!!:rolleyes: |
LOL The only thing that worked for Adie when she was in class was raw hamburger! She learned the tricks then refused to do them when we got to class. She cracked the instructor up because she saw the little stinker perform when she was away from the crowd. Did you find that Missy prefers rolling to one side over the other? |

Lou- She does perfer to rollover on one side more than the other. She's still working on it. :) I'm using praise now for teaching tricks, and she;s not very interested. And yup, she's still begging for the cheese :eek: I hope Reesie is feeling better!! |
I thought honey was not good to use ? I posted about using it on here and got jumped on that it was not a good choice it was better to give sugar water then ever use honey. :confused::confused::confused: |
