Puppy 2 is cute. But I would also look at how you like speaking with the breeder. If she is not being much help well then I may look some where else.

Thanks! I actually found a great breeder!! And I am getting a little girl from her...it is not this lady, it's a different one. She matched me with the right Yorkie based on her personality, and she is indeed adorable!! And sounds it too! She told me alllll about her, every detail of what she's like and send me lots of pics!! I'm so excited to get her. I'm still deciding on a name though..she is 8 weeks old right now, so I don't get her yet. I will get her around my bday nxt month!! :D

No so far i havent found any around NY that i like. :rolleyes: All the good breeders seem far away..in warmer areas

I know..the ears are big and thats actually what i like :D I love the bigger ears..my little girl Sophie that passed had very big ears...I was in love with them and yet she was so small. I agree....i would have liked to see the puppy in person but thats not an option for me:rolleyes: I live in NYC, over the years..before I even got my 1st I looked around here..all there are are pet stores...or 2nd hand ppl that ship them from other countries and then sell them, thats not what i want.

Thnx sooo much everyone for your opinion. I have found my baby..and I love this one too..I don't know maybe I will end up getting 2..i doubt that will happen..it really depends on many things. I have to speak with the breeder more.

Shipping a puppy that small really concerns me. Do you not have a closer option?

That's great that you found a good breeder. Since your in NY maybe you can wait a little bit. The annual YTCA show is coming in February. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America New York Specialty

I'm looking for a good breeder in the NY area too and hope to find one at the show. I think tickets are only $5.

The one I am getting..the breeder is actually coming to NY to drop her off..so she is flying with her on the plane..not cargo:)

Congratulations on (hopefully--fingers crossed) getting your little girl just in time for your birthday. I remember the pain that I felt reading your posts about your sweet angel Sophie. I remember thinking that you had so much strength. I know that you will spend the next month or so choosing the perfect name. I was thinking, maybe a name that begins with an "S" to honor your precious Sophie. Also, I think it's great that the breeder will be delivering her instead of shipping her. I look forward to seeing pictures soon! :)

Thanks..I miss Sophie(Sophia) so much and I loved her name. I already decided if I ever have a daughter I will name her that in her memory. It's so hard picking a name..I was thinking Heidi, then Maggie, and I also like Olivia and Livvi for short. But I don't know which to choose!

I like Heidi because you don't hear it very often, but also think that Maggie is super cute...of course, I personally am partial to Livi. ;)
