I don't like to see dogs tied outside ANYWHERE, and I don't like seeing them in the open back of a pick-up, but these things are seen all the time. When I was in San Francisco in August, here is what I found tied outside the little restaurant we were going to eat breakfast at. This was across the Golden Gate in Sausalito. It was early morning and still chilly out, but this dog had tons of hair and the owner was just about a foot away from him at a window seat. I still felt sorry for this baby, and kept him company till we were called in to eat.

Shame on me! That was not right because I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But I do think she is dumb to leave her baby outside the store alone.

I worked a long time for a Michigan company that had 18 plants at it's greatest point. There was a plant in Vancouver, Washington and I was there to install some new software and hardware. About a month later she called me at 7am Detroit time. Vancouver is 3 or 4 hours behind us here so I thought it was strange that she was calling so early. She was crying hysterically. Now this is the bad part-- she had just bought a new truck and a new puppy. She was sobbing as she told me that she went to the store, and didn't want the puppy to mess in her new truck. So.... she tied his leash to her back bumper. And forgot.

At this point I hung up and was sick all over my desk.

The only thing worse, I can think of, is the idiotic SOB that tied his girfriends dog to his truck and drug it down the street...on purpose! Get this, it was because they were fighting! Don't feel to sorry for the lady either, she bailed his butt out of jail!

Is she crazy!?! I don't even leave Fancy in the suburban alone anymore because she presses the unlock button & unlocks the doors and I'm afraid someone will see her and open the door and snatch her. Thats why I bought a Kwigy Bo, now she goes IN EVERYWHERE with me! ;)
