Taste of the Wild is a grain free food so that is great and one less problem in fixing the poop eating. :) Hiding and eating is just naughty! :p I suggested mixing the pumpkin into Evangers specifically because it is 100% game meat and does not have any grains either. It also makes the pumpkin taste extrra yummy too.

If your local store sells TOTW I would think you would be able to get something close to the Evangers there too. Just make sure that it is grain free. I like to feed the pumpkin like that because it makes it gravy like and it really sticks to the food. But if they will eat just the pumpkin with the kibble that would be find as well. :) Let me know how it is going and if you have joined the ranks of POOP EATERS ANONYMOUS ;)

I guess I should have been more clear - my vet didn't mean let Rio eat her poop, just that if she did manage to eat some, it's not the end of the world. Of course I don't let her eat it without stopping her. I have the utmost confidence in our vet. And Rio has stopped eating her poo - I think she just grew out of it thank goodness!

I hope you have good luck with pineapple or pumpkin. Neither worked for us!! We fed pineapple and pumpkin very consistently and often but still it did not work. The forbid and potty mouth also did not work.

Teddy is a year old and now he only once in a while takes a nibble. We taught him the leave it command and he does listen and we distract him but we can't watch him 24 hours a day.

Oh and he does try to give us a kiss. Uggh, some days we have to have him brush his own teeth more than once. thank goodness he enjoys washing his mouth out!!
So, I'm guessing there was a lil' "poop :animal36 nibbling" prior to this Teddy Video episode:confused::D
Well...this just confirms that Bella-boo & Teddy Bumpkins were a match made in heaven...let's just say, they'll never starve with a fresh supply of their own for snacks...blech!:rolleyes::D

Actually, Teddy brushes his teeth for good hygiene as well as for an after meal refresher. I know Bella doesnt even bother to brush hers after meals and unauthorized snacks. Teddy Boo does not mind though!! LOL

I sure wish that pineapple and pumpkin would have worked for us. Sorry but the only guarantee in our house is that Teddy loves to eat his and the other dogs' poo. That is why I stopped bringing him to doggie daycare - I did not want him eating outside the family! :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork

I've tried lower grains - not a fan of those but open minded - and didnt stop Teddy from snacking. He IS getting better, and leaves his poop 95% of the time nowadays, but, he does still prefer his own baked goods!:thumbdown
