Where do you buy your poop bags? We used to buy the diaper disposable bags from the dollar store but they have since stopped selling them. The ones they sell in the pet section there do not have many in them (25 I think) and with 2 dogs we use about 4 a day so they don't last long. The rolls they sell at petsmart are always so expensive. Where do you buy yours? Anyone know of a place to buy them in bulk? or online for cheap? |
I'm no help I also buy them from dollar tree. The diaper ones do have more in them. Try the dollar tree on line. I think you may be able to order them. |
lol I buy the Dollar Tree ones too! The one's at mine come with 40 in a box |
1 Attachment(s) I buy mine at Walmart...you can only buy them in the store. I think I pay $6.98 for a 75 count box. The bags are good size so, I can pick up four Yorkie's "piles" in "one" bag sometimes twice a day from my backyard. If I'm walking my girls and we need a pick up...then I just use the dispenser kind. |
I used to stock up every time I went but it got to the point where we had too many. In August we added #2 to our family and all of a sudden have depleted our supply! When I went to buy more they didn't have any!! And Reusing shopping bags seems so wasteful for such tiny poop! Never thought to look online at dollar tree! I see they have the pet ones (40 count) online. That may be what it comes to... |

IKEA!!!! Our favorite store! |
Hahahaha!!! everytime you go to the dog park or petco, snag a handfull! that's what I do! I've never paid for one single bag before. Go to petco, grab a few, then next time go to go another and grab somemore. |

No... doesn't have to be on a roll. We have the dispensers but then shove the none roll ones into it so we still have them when we need them but then don't have to pay the price for the roll. Never thought to use sandwich baggies... does that create lots of smell because they don't close as tightly? |

IKEA! Who knew they sold those! Guess I have noticed them whenever we go. WE LOVE IKEA!! |
I scoop in my yard. I only carry bags on walks. I have a trashcan on my driveway that stays outside and that is where the poop goes. |

4 bags used a day... grab 12 at a time... I would have to go to petco every 3 days ;) Or just grab more than 12 at a time :p |
We use zip lock sandwich bags. ;) |
Big Lots, Dollar Tree, save the newspaper bags, sandwich bags... |
I still get the bags at the Dollar Store. They still sell them around here. It's like 40 bags for $1! I better stock up before they decide to stop selling them here, lol :) |
My girlfriend gets them on a roll at the pet store. You can put them in a holder that looks like a bone and attach it the dog's leash. I just grab a handful when I go to the park. Where we live they are all over the place for free, however you must be careful with the biodegradable ones. They kinda disolve in your pockets if you forget about them. |
My apartment has several stations outside where they supply the bags. I roll a bunch out and re-stock every few days :p I also use them when I clean the cat box... haha I'm bad! |
We use the Mutt Mitt Singles, the bags are big enough if you are walking them togeher you can use one bag for the two dogs. Here is there website we get the refills www.pickupmitts.com |
I just use dollar store ziploc sandwich bags... |
I use Sassy bags. They are for diapers so they hold quite a lot. I get them at KMart, 50 bags for $2.99 but ToysR Us also has them. The best part is they smell like baby powder. |
Whole foods has the rolls of poop bags for $1.99 for four rolls. They aren't fancy like the ones Petsmart or PetCo have but they do the trick. |
I use Baggies. Sometimes they are hard to find. I get them at WalMart. They come with twist ties, but I just tie a knot. They are easier than the ziploc or fold-over sandwich bags. If you are ever near a swapmeet or place that sells bags to vendors, you can get a whole case of small bags really cheap. I like the black ones. Now that I am no longer near a big Flea Market, I use the Baggies. When I go out picking up poopies, I tell people I am hunting for eggs -- you know like Easter eggs! :eggs: |
ritzydaisy... Easter eggs? lol. Cute! Now I'll have a whole new vision when I'm doing pickup duty. Either ziploc or foldover baggies for us too. Dollar Store, if we remember, otherwise just purchased wherever we are (grocery, dept store, whatever). With the foldovers, I just tie the baggie into a knot and it goes out into the garbage bin (with lid) in the garage immediately. There are many times when I do this that I am thoroughly grateful that we do not own a large dog. :p ~Susan |
I get the baby ones at Target. |
I use the cheapest sandwich bags from whatever store I'm shopping in. I also use a paper towel with it. Then I tuck and roll the bag and dispose. This way no one sees poop in the bag. It seems whenever I put my hand in a coat pocket I have a poopy bag in there:p |
Poop Bags I reused the ones I get my grocery's in from the grocery store and also the bags my newspaper comes in. Why add more plastic to the landfills? |
I use Mutt Mitts because they reduce the gross factor. It's almost impossible to get it on your hands when you use it correctly, and it's 2-ply so it doesn't smell. I just carry them in a little pouch. For the yard I use doubled-up Target bags. Target bags are thicker and bigger than regular grocery store bags. Plus I try to use re-usable bags at the grocery store but always forget them at Target! And I use paper bags to recycle, so I get those when I forget my grocery bags. |
Whatever plastic bags I have at home laying around! In the backyard we just shovel them and put them in the garbage. |
