She is trying her best to escape her expen. She is just so determined to get out.

She finally calmed down but she will b back at it. She tries for about an hour, then takes a nap. This is what she does all day. So far she has not been able to escape. You would think she would give up by now.

Yes she is sleeping right now but she'll start trying again after she gets some rest. Check back in about an hour. She does this all day every day. She hates being confined and this is the third ex-pen I've gotten for her So far she has not been able to escape this one. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Okay, I totally NEED a webcam for my boys....can you tell me how to do it, what I need, cost etc?

You can download WebcamXp Lite...it's free. If you already have a camera then it won't cost you anything. Install Webcam, now the tricky part depends on whether or not you have a router. If you don't, then just install and you are up and running. If you use a wireless router, then there are a few more steps you have to take. It's all in their instructions.

Okay, what what and what?

I don't have a Webcam or anything, so I'd need to start there.

When you start talking about "routers" and stuff like that, everything goes black and I get woozie inside :p. It's not pretty.

In our house, hubby uses our desktop and I use my laptop (wireless-ly).

yeah....I just position the webcam in front of her ex-pen. I watch her almost everyday. I remember her very first ex-pen where I didn't see her and I rushed home because I didn't know where she was or if she was hurt. When I got home she was at the door waiting for me :eek:. This was all before I knew about her capabilities as an escape artist. She scared the daylights out of me.

I usually have it running while I'm at work. For the most part I only check every few hours or so. She pretty much does the same thing every day. But since I got this new ex-pen, I wanted to see if she was able to get out.

I admit sometimes, I watch her a little more than I should but when she is up and trying her best to figure out how to get out, it's hard to stop watching.

She's trying to escape as we speak. How precious! We will definitely have to look into this. Our dogs usually have the run of the house while we're gone though so it might be difficult to watch them.

This is everyday. She even has toys in there to help keep her occupied but she doesn't play with them. I am so tired of buying toys she doesn't play with but I know she is only doing this out of boredom. I wish I could find something to occupy her mind. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I should say that Brandi was a rescue who was kept in a crate for probably most of her life. This is probably the reason why she hates being confined. Ever since she has been living with me ( a little over a year now) she has a lot more freedom. She does potty outside with no problem but when I am gone, she will potty in the house. I think that is from pottying in her crate when she was with the BYB.

It's a hard habit to break so that is why I keep her in a ex-pen. At least it gives her more room that a very small crate she was kept in.

Thats so great that you rescued her :wub:
Im a foster mom for a rescue and we get alot of caged breeder dogs and it is so hard to break that habit.
Toys probably wont work because she wants out and its causing anxiety so she doesnt want to play. Sometimes the ones with treats hidden in them work but Im sure youve tried that.
I wish I had a good suggestion for you but she will probably never like the xpen. At least she isnt frantic and panicking. She just wants out

I am enjoying watching her too. She is a persistant little thing. I won't be suprised if she manages to escape this ex-pen too.

She is tired, when I get home all she does is eat and go to sleep on the couch. She is completely wiped out by the time I get home.
