I so know what you mean... Not sure how many of you here are country music fans but this reminds me of the Billy Currington song... "Beer is great, God is good, and people are crazy" I LOVE that song, well I actually LOVE country music, but I never heard a song that I agree with more then that one!! Like what business is it of hers what or HOW you give your baby a drink!! To be honest with ya I have done the same thing with my babies. Made my sister gag once lol. My responce to her gag was, well it hasn't killed me yet. lol. then she gaged even more and said, "OMG you have done that before, GROUSE!!" I was like oh well!! I know I am not going to let my baby go thirsty!! as I am sure we all feel that way!! Quote:

It's just lovely when people can't mind their own business, isn't it? She should see Galahad in the middle of one of his "clean out Mommy's/Daddy's nose" fits, haha. She'd crap a kitten then. |
Spit never hurt anyone! Try not to hate people as usually they are just ignorant to understanding or open to other ways of life! Actually in the dog world puppies relate to their mother's spit and licking and that is what helps make the dog respondant to her. Often to encourage a finicky dog to eat an owner can spit in the dogs food and mix it around to entice the dog. Sometimes just the scent of their hands mixing the food works too. I have had to do it when my little guy was a very young puppy and it helped him to want to eat. Fortunately now he is in the habit of eating well and I don't have to do that! However, I too will let him drink out of my source of water when needed if his isn't available. Life is to short to sweat the small stuff, so try not to let people aggravate you and enjoy your Peanut and what life has to offer! Have a happy holiday! |

A classmate of mine once told me that she thinks animals are disgusting and that she can't stand them. She doesn't understand how we love someTHING that is not human. OMG how can she call them things? My answer was: I honestly pity you. I pity you because you have no love for the purest of beings. The beings that don't think bad, that love you and respect you for what you are. Animals. And if you think that the way I treat my pets and all animals is gross and disgusting, then all I have to say is that you'll never know anything about love. If you can't love animals then you can't love anyone. What pisses me off most is when some moms and grandmas try to scare their children with dogs. Like "Be a good kid or the big dog will come and eat/hurt/take you". Whenever I hear something like that I immediately explain to the kid how wrong that is!! And most of the times those parents say I am rude LOL if me telling the truth is rude then what are they? I'm not that much angered with that. I am most saddened. |
What's wrong with people? Well, I agree with the poop eating , butt licking, etc. However, you should told her that when it comes to germs, her little girl's mouth probably had more than your dog's. A human bite is worse than as dog bite for infection. It was none of her business anyway. Tucker's Mom |

Slightly off topic, but I usually carry one of those little soft plastic caps that you can put on the end of a refrigerated treat "log" to keep it fresh. They are the perfect portable water bowl. Small and soft, so they don't take up any room in your purse. I will also pour water out in my hand and let Thor drink from that. If people think that's gross, they've never said anything. Usually I get some "awwwww"s. Never heard of spitting in a dog's food, lol, maybe I'll have to try that! |
