I've share my water with Couver... all the time! I would rather share his germs than have him go thirsty! P.S. Couver is also NOT a poop eater... He is on a leash whenever he is outside, so I know EVERY where his mouth has been... haha |
Oh my... I am so glad I am not the only one who give my baby water from the cap. Muffin has water bottles in my car and both of my parents. I am so surprised that lady had a problem. Good for you for stnading up for yourself! |
sharring with our babies Oh, I love this...my DH says I like confrontation too much and his saying for me is " God, please keep one arm around me and the other one over my mouth." I share my water with Belle the same way, after 16 years of ER work I can tell you what's gross! I was at Dairy Queen with my DH and Belle. I had an ice cream cone and was sharing with her. The car parked nex to us had a man and a woman sitting in it with their windows down, I think her hair was pulled back too tight or something, she didn't realize my window was down too. Everytime I gave Belle a lick of ice cream she would tell her what ever he was, watch..watch, she'll do it again. I kept doing it just to irrate her. Then she went to far with saying "how gross, she's letting her dog lick her ice cream." I turned around toward her and said, "she's my baby, I share everything with her... so if that's your husband or boyfriend, do you know everywhere his mouth has been?" She flipped me off, a real lady!:D |

Now if we were stranded in the desert, I am sure I would not be so picky:rolleyes: |

I agree, your first mistake was going to WalMart. However, if you have the time, look at all the pictures from the above link. People should mind their own business. If you want to eat/drink after your dog, hey, it's your mouth, your body! I would rather drink and eat after my dogs than to eat after most of the people I know. Of course, I know where Buster & Maggie have had their mouths and I would rather not. But I have drank out of their water bottle when I didn't have my own water! (don't tell anybody!) |

Or if he even brushes his teeth and washes his hands after leaving the restroom or periodically after using them on dirty things. Let's not forget to mention if he even takes a daily shower and washes his a%# because you know some men have that stain problem in their BVD's and have the nerve to want to touch a women. She better hope he's a faithful guy and not doing things with one woman, then turning around going back home to her while being dirty. Now that is what's really GROSS...nasty grown people! |
I told you before, lovespandp, I hate people. Why do they have to comment? You gave them something to talk about at dinner. "You know what I saw today?"... People just don't know how to keep their trap shut. If they don't have anything nice to say then go away!!! That's a good one. I would have just took a swig right there. haha |
I can't believe how confrontational people can be-- it wasn't hurting her, she had no business saying anything. Ramses drinks either out of my hand or out of the bottle cap-- he tends to prefer out of the palm of my hand so that's usually what we do. I am one who won't ever share drinks with anyone including boyfriends, but I don't have any issues with drinking from the bottle after he's drunk from the cap. |
Some people are just not animal lovers and don't understand that you would do anything for your dog :animal-pa She also sounds like a miserable person that she has the nerve to stick HER NOSE into your business  Just blow those nasty people off and don't let them bother you :p! |
Some people are just OCD about germs and cleanliness. Nothing you could say to these kind of people would convince them it is okay to drink after your dog or to let them lick you on the lips. The fact is it just grosses them out. I feel the lady should of kept quiet but some people just can't mind their own business. One thing that bother me is when parents with children will not allow their children to have a pet because they don't want their child to get germs. The truth of the matter is that pets can actually increase the immune system of children. Dogs, Cats Reduce Risk Of Allergies In Kids |

Now that is funny bc I do the same thing with my dogs! I even let Daisy drink water out of my ice water. sometimes she will see my glass and stick her face in and start lapping it up. common we deworm our dogs and they kiss us! Whatever that lady is shallow!! I love my dogs so much that if there was a shortage on water I would let them have it first!! lol:D |
Yeah I was really like "upset" about it yesterday, but after reading all your post I feel a lot better!! I think that lady was just bitter and maybe even having a bad day, and took it out on me or something. I TRY to not let people get to me but its hard when you are doing something so innocent and you get treated like dirt for it!! I love my Peanut, I share everything that is possible with him, I dont care what people think about it, Maybe if she had the love that Peanut gives me then they would understand why I let him drink out of my Cap, Sleep with me, go in the shower with me, lick my plate when I am done, share my ice cream, give me kisses, etc etc!! It also sucks that I am just sitting letting peanut lick out of my cap and the lady is so concerned with what I am doing she doesnt notice the lady walking up to the store yanking her childs arm off bc the child isnt "walking" fast enough... I hate people |
thanks i never thought about the cap i carry a tuperware lid in my purse this will be soo much easier Gatsby eats off my spoon and my plate we shower together(well he stands in the bottem of the shower trying to avoid water i shower) he sleeps in my bed and i wash his clothes with mine (he dosent lick my ice cream cone because be tries ti bite it and it falls off) we have shared suckers and crakers and sandwitches and god i dont know what else i think if youre gonna get something your gonna get it anyway so why not enjoy life |
