I just saw this thread on here and immediatly thought of you. You may have alread done this but wanted to make sure you saw it. We are still thinking and praying for Cookie's return.:) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ssing-try.html |
Thank you so much for passing this on. We all hurt when we know one of our little ones have been torn away from their family...We pray every day for cookie to return and this proves it CAN HAPPEN. I too look to see the day when I see Cookie is back. God Bless |
Haven't been on in a while, my laptop was stolen in a burglary:mad: My babies were in the house when it happened.. we came home to find them running around the garden. OMG, when I think of what could have happened! Gen my prayers are always with you and Cookie. |
Oh my gosh, how frightening.... I have been so mad for someone stole my husbands new 2007 Ford big fancy danzy truck. He was in LA having lunch , came out with key in hand to find no truck...But it was insured. And now compared to this, it was nothing... if your little ones were hurt or gone... To scary to think about... Glad it was the computer. God Bless, JESSIE |
Hey Gen, I haven't logged on in a while. I'm so sorry to hear you have'nt found little Cookie. :(Don't give up. |
Tomorrow a newspaper article comes out in the paper and Cookie is mentioned. Along with my contact information. I met the Florida Yorkie Rescue Coordinator and she understands too well what I have been going through. She wrote a letter about Cookie to the editor but they wanted to do a story about the Yorkie Rescue. She agreed as long as she could mention Me and my story. Here is a copy: Monday Chat: Palm City woman helps find new homes for Yorkshire terriers TCPalm.com I'll be busy in the morning but I will have my cell phone glued to me since the story comes out tomorrow. I still continue posting and searching. No worries about me stopping, it won't happen. I love that little guy too much to quit now. I'm even making pet accesories like Buttercup beds to sell at an event. They asked me to join since there are NO pet stuff there . I have to try to get out of this debt hole and recoup some money from what I've spent and will continue to spend. So I hope that goes well. Keep us in your prayers. I still feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning and my gift to open will be Cookie. Gen |
Oh, Gen that is an awsome story and I am so glad she included you and Cookie in it... I still feel Cookie will be back with you, wouldn't it be great if you could get a local paper to do a story on you and cookie each month. That way u guys stay in the public eye. I know you have an offer from one of our members offering to help you in this area, take her up on it, she might even get the editors to listen to her and print a larger story on you and cookie. But that is a great story to be featured in.... Sharon, Joey and cabella. |
Oh Gen, What a great story. Levi and I will relight candles today. I will be thinking of you all day in hopes Cookie comes home. Praying and hoping in Mass......Rose and Levi |
Team Cookie....Please relight candles.....Cookie needs our prayers |
One of the important things that we found was an online chip look-up that lets you see if your register is at least active. This company, AKCCAR, is working to add more chip registers to achieve a universal database. There are four registers online through this link, so if you have your little one chipped through any of the four listed at the bottom of their page the phone number of the register should show up. Cookie is with PetTrac which doesn't participate yet, but I know that Genie has his data up to date. Also, if your dog is missing make sure to pay each year to keep the register active or there won't be any way to bring him home if he's finally scanned. Pet Microchip Lookup - Powered by AAHA I try to keep at least one candle lit for Cookie. Richard |
Gen I am soo sorry to hear that you have not found Cookie yet. My thoughts are with you and your family.. I am wondering though and this just made me think of it and not that it would help you now but can't they make like a tracking device that will let you locate your dogs exact whereabouts... Like if I steal someones dog that has this gps locator in it and the owners called the company to locate it, it would show that the dog was at my home..Maybe I watch to much NCIS but it seems like a smart idea to me.. |

No, you don't watch CSI too much, LOL! and this idea is good when you don't have to worry about dishonest people. Areas where a dog might be lost in a wooded or hilly area, out in the country, or a big dog that runs from strangers, is where the GPS locator is great. For a Yorkie that's been stolen or picked up and kept, the first thing they would throw in a dumpster is the collar with the GPS tracker. Not a happy thought when you've invested a few hundred dollars to keep an eye on your dog. There are GPS trackers that are small like the chips and also injected by a vet, but those are running $4000 or more. That's one of the things that I was checking back in December, and I've only seen mention of them in Mexico. The article in TcPalm is great and no doubt Cookie will be famous when he's recovered. The situation is far from hopeless and Genie is strong enough to keep going. :) |
I let my Yorkie out down here in Florida (we are staying with my son) - his backyard is fenced and I still keep checking on him - what scared me last week was a falcon sitting on the fence looking down at his porcupine stuffie toy - reading on here I am so paranoid about him being outside without me AT ALL........I hope someone finds him -are you sure he couldn't have squeezed himself out? If so, somebody should call you - hopefully today..... |
Hi Gen, we are still praying for Cookies return!!! |
praying that this new article throws up the lead that brings cookie home. :hands: |
