How many of you have floppy-eared yorkies? Baxter has never picked his ears up all the way. And honestly - they are so big I think he would look a little goofy if he did. The problem I have with his droopy ears are that they push his hair in to his eyes. I wind up just keeping his hair cut short on his face. I let it get a little long this summer but just had it trimmed short. |
1 Attachment(s) His floppy ears are what caught my eye. I do trim and shape the ears so they don't look like a bowl cut, and I haven't had an issue with his hair. Now I'm head over heels for this little guy. Just look at the pic, who wouldn't???? Attachment 298518 |
One of mine are but he has one that goes up half way. I know he's a year old but I want to try to see if taping them will get them to come all the way up. If it doesn't, I don't care but it does help with ear issues when they're up. |
Floppy ears rock :animal-pa When I first got my maggie her ears were floppy. One day she walked up to me and WHOA! I was wondering if she would ever grow into them! And she did!;) And she had a beautiful nany boy w/floppy ears named Wally. just search for a thread of him. Talk about a cutie!!:) |

Fergie has floppy ears! I love them but I think it's so cute when her ears point up when she hears something! |
Tucker is a yorkie mix but his are floppy too!! I know if I trimmed them they would stand but I like 'em floppy. :) |
we have floppy ears in this house!! :) |
1 Attachment(s) My Trouble has floppy ears. When I first picked him out his ears stood up, but when he was netured they went down. I thought he looked so cute, I did not really want them to go back up. They flipped up and down for awhile, but I did not get the hair trimmed or do the tape thing to help out, so they are still floppy. I would not have him any other way |
My sassy Missy has flopy ears :D |
We have 2 flopeared kidz & Clarence has one that stands up sometimes....when he wants to work it BUT he is such a little prince. |
Harley has floppy ears. I think the floppy ears are cute and wanted them to stay that way. To me it made him look more baby like. When he was around 10 months or so I decided I wanted them to stand. I took him to the groomer and had them shaved but I guess it was too late so they are still floppy. |
1 Attachment(s) Kona has floppy ears too! We love them and think she is adorable. |

We too are in the "floppy ear" club! :D |
Toby has floppy ears. He was 18 months old when we got him, so it was to late to do anything. I love his roundness. His haircut is like a pageboy. He tries to perk those ears up, but it just won't happen! I know it's out of standard, but everything about him is! |
Sophie Kate has both, her ears stand up but the tips flop over. I tried to tape them but not with much luck. |
1 Attachment(s) This is my Wally that cliffick was talking about. Floppy enough??? This is what made me chose him. How could I not?? |
We have floopy ears too........they are so cute Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |
