I take Pita with me wherever there isn't food involved and most places are ok with it. I am lucky cuz my husband and I have our own business so she gets to come to work with me too! She's curled up behind me right now on my chair! She rides in her lil box in the car and when she's bigger I'll get her a car seat, she's so portable! |
I have been kicked out of walmart outdoor gardening with buckeye. this is funny , i had to run to home depot to get a piece of something when we were installing the under ground sprinkling system.(just a small part). i saw on the door it said no pets allowed so i stopped at the counter and asked the lady could i bring buckeye in. she said no pets allowed. i said "ok , well could you please go back in the back of the store and get me one of these" (showing her the sample). she looked at buckeye and said as long as you dont' let him walk he should be ok". ever since then we have taken both with us when shopping at home depot. they have been in sears, best buy, dollar store, restaurant in mexico, the bank, office max, Victri, when you are at south padre look me up. i am very close to there. |
I take Bentley almost everywhere with me in Seattle. I have never been kicked out of any store, but I don't go into the ones that have a sign on the door. It's funny how different stores are in different parts of the country. Bed Bath and Beyond is pet friendly as is Sur La Table. I've even taken him into the grocery store, but I don't do that often as I can see how they wouldn't want dogs to be around the food. The two places that I know are not dog friendly are Home Depot and Starbucks. When I was visiting my parents in South Dakota over Christmas, I got kicked out of the local mall for having Bentley in my bag. That made me very mad. I'm glad I live in a dog friendly city. I always take him with me to the mall here. I'm looking to get a bigger bag so that I can take both my boys with me now. |
oh gee i forgot to add that i used to take buckeye in the gas station with me to pay for my gas and get my usual candy bar. i did this for some time and one day the manager said "you can't bring your dog in here any more" i said OK thank you. i haven't gone there since. and asked the next place if they allowed it. they were very friendly and loved me bringing him in. needless to say they get my money. buckeye needs to be with me all the time and i have a hard time keeping him in the car when i get out. so i have to pump gas holding him. LOL. plus it gets so hot here in the summer i can't leave him in the car alone. not even to pay for my gas. i just can't take the chance. my two know how to lock the doors too. |
Geez! Of all places, I would think that WAL MART (the biggest retail store ever) would allow pets!! I mean, come on.. some of those workers that touch all the food are so much more dirty than little puppies. If people brought puppies on a leash and let them run around on their on little feet in the store, than that might be different but having them concealed in a puppy purse should have no effect on anything! I mean, even if there were a few people allergic to dogs, the puppies are kept away inside their little doggy bags so those people probably wouldn't even detect them. I guess when I get my little boy, I better take him to Target instead of Wal Mart. |
Jackson has been in: Banana Republic (My Lab who weighs 85lbs. goes there too!) The Gap J. Crew Bed Bath & etc. Pottery Barn Restoration Hardware (totally dog friendly) Anthropologie Balducci's Stop and Shop Trader Joes (but was asked to leave) Barnes and Noble Brookstone Shoe stores :D |
Most stores are petfriendly here for those that are coming to europe in the future, there should be little problem about shop owners escorting you and your baby out the shops, apart from foodstores... they can object but it depends where you go, a lot of people take their dogs along to town even big ones, in summer it can be cruel to see a panting dog on a leash walking in town trying to please the "boss" i dont think they are doing them a favour taking them to town in the heat but as for the little fur babies that are kept in carriers and out of the hot sun why not as long as the baby has fresh cool water to drink no problem..... where i am ull see my baby, so far i have had no problem getting her in any shop the only problem is, it takes me hours to go and do what i have to do because almost everone that notices her wants to look and touch  im not so happy about the touching part but if the people are clean i will allow it ( no small children ) i have had big men melt over her it makes me giggle ;) specially if she's wearing a little bow in her hair all i hear around me is "awwwww how cute" so people... come and enjoy europe you and your babies are most welcome :) :) :) |
