Well at least I feel the love now knowing who some of you are out there "just reading". Glad to meet some of you lurkers and thanks for coming out to post in this thread. Read on and Learn.....I talk too much LOL, and if I stay awayfor a while, I get a message from Yorkie talk saying they "miss me" LOL

Count me in as a mostly lurker...there's SO much here at YT to read & learn from. As a new Yorkie momma, I too find I usually don't have much info to input to some discussions but gain invaluable information from browsing differant subjects. Thanks to all those who don't always LURK though; without you many of us would be lost.:)

I'm guilty of doing that sometimes, too! I will do searches for a topic and end up with one that is older so i don't like to bring back really old posts.:rolleyes: But I'm guilty of browsing the newer ones, too!:D

LOL! :) I used to lurk and I'm still waiting for my furbaby as well. I'll be ready for her :aimeeyork in less than 4 months...YIPEEEEEE!!!!! But after lurking for a while I got sucked in, like a moth to the light :p Now I can't go a day without reading and being on here, but I try not to post on everything, and I only am on here while at work Tues-Fri, because of not using the net at home. I hope by the time I'm ready to bring her home I'm not crazy from the research, excitement and prepping I'm doing. This is beginning to be like a real 9 month pregnancy without the pain or bloat.

yeah Im quilty too.. sometimes I just dont have anything to say, add to the topic or advice to give... and sometimes depending on the topic Im better off not saying anything..lol..

While I am getting braver on posting, I deem myself to be far too new to comment on most topics and others, I am too brain dead from MBA schoolwork to respond with any level of intelligence ! ;)

Somewhere (no idea where since lately I seem to be able to forget more than I remember) I have read research (perhaps I read/heard this in some psychology course or perhaps guidance/counseling ??) that says that...

People should listen twice as much as they speak or something to that effect. Following that reasoning, folks on here are possibly somewhat following that norm with the twist being they are reading considerably more than they are writing.

Personally, I find it refreshing to be able to make it through the entire thread I am engrossed in before having to move on regardless of whether or not I reply. I tend to write in paragraphs rather than sentences and even find myself too long-winded quite often!

Unfortunately that is a by-product of the latter part of my career where I had to fit a minimum/maximum number of pages for grant proposals. Too often what I could have said in 25 words had to be "expanded" to meet the guidelines. Now I find that it is so hard to shorten my thoughts and write it in a brief, concise fashion.

I am constantly humbled by kind folks on here who overlook my obvious inability to shorten my words and still read the lengthy posts. When someone doesn't respond to something I write, I just assume I wore them out with my wordiness...LOL

I confess that I have been a long time lurker and recently have just come out and began to post. I love it...feel like I have a bunch of new friend.

I also just became a YT Yakker

I was going to read and not post as usual.:D Sometimes I just get caught up in the thread and will come back and check for updates. Sometimes in a thread I don't like to post if I have nothing new to say that hasn't been said then I won't post. I also tend to read threads where people lost their pups either because they have gone to the rainbow bridge or have been lost out in the world as I like to put their name in my prayer list. But I don't always post saying so because I don't know how much I help.

It is hearts like yours that make this place so special.... thank you.

I do lurk a bit and I do post. Sometimes I don't have anything to say, sometimes I get side tracked viewing other things on the web. Right now I am doing alot of research too looking for a new baby and I am driving myself crazy :p

A lot of times, I 're-view' a post that I'm interested in, or have posted on. Does it count each time I go into it, or does is just count the people who have viewed it? For example, I usually view lost dog posts numerous times to see if they've been found. Does it count each time as a 'view'? That would drive the view numbers up. :confused:

A lot of times I keep returning to a thread to see the new posts! But there are others that I read and just have nothing valuable to add :D

I do this as well. Sorry. Also, if there is a thread that I don't know much about, such as a sick Yorkie, I keep checking back to see how the puppy is doing. I like to see what made the puppy better or if they took it to the vet. I don't comment if someone is asking for advice and I am not familiar with that issue.

I read a lot of posts that I do not reply to. Either someone else has already said what I would have said, or I do not have anything to add to the conversation.
